Takashi Sugiura (47), plans to take the heavyweight championship even from his tag partner, Kenoh (32).
Kenoh will challenge Eddie Edwards (33) at Korakuen Hall on the 22nd. Sugiura said, "I am happy because I want the belt again, I feel regretful as I would like Kenoh to take it."
In February before the tag formation he advised Kenoh "do not use bamboo swords". He added "If at the top it feels like that, then I could not have stood it. I don't need to use or do unnecessary things, this is a fact from my mouth".
As advised Kenoh abandoned any weapons, and because now his mind has been focused he is on the front line.
There is of course, also a feeling of jealousy. "It will increase my feelings if Kenoh gets it back" he said. Commenting on the rumored "Bullet Yankees" Zero-One reunion with Masato Tanaka (44) which was speculated two weeks ago, it is not progressing. Sugiura commented, "even though there is a feeling between myself and Tanaka, it has been a busy year".
At Yokohama, he is going to face Edwards in a tag with Kenoh, but with his partner loosing Sugiura has added further fire to his intensity and will concentrate on his first singles match with the cheerful foreigner, Moose (33, Korakuen Hall on the 22nd"; "I must increase the momentum to challenge for the GHC".
