(NOAH) Event recap ~ "Navigation For The Future 2019" Night Four ~ Esupuma Isauma (Kawagoe-shi) (Sunday, January 13th 2019)

Usually when people arrive at the venue, they like to post a picture of the view they have from their seats. Today, most people photographed the fabled disco ball, which travels with Noah as part of their set, and is used for the 50 Funky Powers entry.

Noah recently have started to hold shows on Sundays at 3pm following fan feedback that the time is very good; its not too early, or too late, those with kids can get them home at a reasonable time for school tomorrow, and it is ideal for those who work too (plus the roster who get to go home early, especially when its been a grueling three day tour).

The venue was sold out today. It was noted there was a balcony, but Noah had only made tickets available for the ground floor (and the balcony naturally was hung with banners).

It was said to be a fun Sunday atmosphere.

Daisuke Harada was on autograph duty.

MATCH ONE
Tadasuke vs Minoru Tanaka vs Kinya Okada 

Kinya Okada and Tadasuke had great chemistry; Okada having the potential to be one of the nastier more sarcastic heavyweights, and Tadasuke of course being Tadasuke (sly), and it was also noticed that he was giving some guidance to Okada during the match.
However, that didn't stop Okada from trying to screw him over by sneak schoolboy pinning him (Okada is lucky this is Tadasuke, when Tadasuke did that to Harada, Harada threw a tantrum and chased him around the ring).
Minoru Tanaka imitated Tadasuke by lounging in the corner like he does.

WINNER: Minoru Tanaka with the diving footstamp on Kinya Okada (9 mins and 39 seconds)

MATCH TWO
Go Shiozaki, Katsuhiko Nakajima & Masao Inoue vs Akitoshi Saito, Hi69 & Junta Miyawaki

Crowd very much into this match.
Poor Masao Inoue once again took the Suicludees from Saito, and Go Shiozaki helped the old man out of the arena (not that Inoue couldn't walk, it just looked like Shiozaki was comforting him).

WINNER: Akitoshi Saito with the Suicludees on Masao Inoue (9 mins and 59 seconds)

MATCH THREE
Kenoh & HAYATA vs Atsushi Kotoge & Yoshinari Ogawa

Ogawa came out in his denim jacket, accompanied by his tag partner, Atsushi Kotoge, who as usual was dancing around in his cape. It's rare that Ogawa teams with Kotoge, usually he's against him and abusing the cape in some form (i.e. wiping his boots on it, throwing it into the crowd), and it was equally rare to see Kenoh teaming with HAYATA.
Kenoh, naturally came out scowling, and this deepened into his "cold stare" when Kotoge (who told everyone to "raise the tension") thought it was a good idea to try and recruit Kenoh into the "Revolutionary Army" by telling him to raise his hand...Kenoh's response was to kick him as soon as he had said it.
Ogawa, the most senior man in the match (and Noah), wasn't going to take Kenoh's insolence however, and managed to knock him down to the mat, although he also did do the usual Ogawa things when standing on the ring apron and then protesting he hadn't.

This match saw a lot of rare things as well as the above mentioned teaming, and not only Ogawa vs Kenoh, but also Kotoge doing a moonsault. He apparently wanted to show HAYATA that he wasn't the only person who could do it.

Then something happened which took everyone by surprise and made fans wonder about just what was going to happen when YO-HEY and HAYATA had their singles match on the 20th, and in Osaka in the title match.
Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA shook hands, and then briefly patted each other on the back in a hug.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions from that.

The meaning of this was evidently lost on Atsushi Kotoge as he decided that now would be the perfect time to try and recruit more members into the "Revolutionary Army" (so far, its just him) and he decided that HAYATA and Ogawa just might like to join.
HAYATA ignored him, and Ogawa basically said, "Seriously?".
Kotoge said later he was very upset, HAYATA shook hands with OGAWA, but when HE tried he was "hit full swing".

WINNER: Atsushi Kotoge with the "Revolutionary Cloak Splash" on HAYATA (10 mins and 40 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
The Backbreakers (Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano) & Yoshiki Inamura vs Keisuke Ishii, Kouki Iwasaki & Seiya Morohashi

Spirited match with a good show from Yoshiki Inamura (who Ohara was advising during the match).
Not really much to report on this one as I think the crowd were a little stunned by what had just happened with Ogawa & HAYATA.

Hajime Ohara may have injured his face after a kick from Ishii (he caught him in the eyes).

WINNER: Kouki Iwasaki with the Reverse DDT on Yoshiki Inamura (13 mins and 39 seconds)

MATCH FIVE
The Hooligans (Maybach Taniguchi, Cody Hall & KAZMA SAKAMOTO) vs Takashi Sugiura and 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm)

Ha, ha, dance
Boogie wonderland
Sounds fly through the night; I chase my vinyl dreams to Boogie Wonderland"

The lights dimmed and the disco ball began to rotate throwing green spots around the arena, as 50 Funky Powers made their disco entry, complete with smoke machine (and Yone's funky flashing glasses).
Takashi Sugiura, who doesn't like disco, made his entry separately to "Love Comes To Town", which is the most threatening music in pro-wrestling.

Then The Hooligans appeared.
Cody Hall (who a lot of fans are saying has really toned up and looks even more menacing with the beard) lifted Quiet Storm in a one armed scoop before slamming him; say what you want about Hall, but you can't deny that doing this to a man of 110kgs isn't an impressive display of strength. He also applied a hold to Yone, which turned Yone's arm white when the circulation was cut off, no wonder Yone posted afterwards that pretty much everything from his eyes to his knees hurt.
Aside from that, it was the usual Hooligan match with the (lame) flag and the Sasumata being bought in to play, cheating, fights outside the ring, and the group photo of their opponents being throttled with the pole as they stood by posing.

WINNER: Maybach Taniguchi with the Maybach Press on Mohammed Yone (16 mins and 7 seconds)

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya & Daisuke Harada vs Masa Kitamiya & YO-HEY

A lot of streamers thrown for both the GHC champions.
This match was meant to be about the GHC Heavyweight (although Kiyomiya and Kitamiya did start off), but it was overshadowed by the far more emotional YO-HEY & Daisuke Harada dynamic. Harada made no comment on the mic to Ogawa (who had come out to second YO-HEY) about what had happened with HAYATA earlier, but that was a look beyond the "shark smells blood" one he usually has on his face when crossed.

YO-HEY, naturally was YO-HEY, his demonic grin, his ability to wind his opponent up, and the fact that he knew Harada very very well, it was different against Kiyomiya though, and as usual he came off looking like a ragdoll.

At the end of the match, Harada gave Ogawa one long hard cold hate filled stare, before leaving with Tadasuke, and YO-HEY got on the microphone and thanked everyone for coming today, he (although he was exhausted) had won against Harada, he will take the belt and asked everyone to "come aboard my ship"... he also said something about "three people" betraying....

Then, as tired as he was, YO-HEY went to sign autographs at the merchandise table.

RATELS now have to be on a long haul flight to the UK together...
