(NOAH) POST MATCH INTERVIEWS: N-1 VICTORY 2022 (Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall, Sunday 14th August)

TAKASHI SUGIURA

Q: Did you want to try fighting Okada?
SUGIURA: No, nothing else
Q: You said you would win quickly
SUGIURA: Yes. Next is Sendai. I think it will affect the second half depending on whether I win or not against Nakajima. I have to win well, and so in that sense, today was a good warm up.
Q: Did you feel that he had grown from before?
SUGIURA: No, not at all. I have no impression of fighting before.
Q: This is the second consecutive flawless win
SUGIURA: Well, the league has just started and so in that sense the next 3rd and 4th matches will be the turning point. I want to keep going with a good feeling, and I want to win, next time too.

ANTHONY GREENE
"As I said on Twitter, even if I lose, it doesn't end there. I will always learn something from it, and as a result of studying my opponent, I won today. My wrestling IQ is high, so from here on out I will continue to win with this momentum."

MASA KITAMIYA
"It's hard, the N-1 VICTORY. Because it's hard, it's tough to survive. There is no league that is so rewarding, and both physical strength and morale are improving. This year is perfect, this year I'm perfect!! Next is Sendai...KOJIMAAAAA! Let's go mutherfucker!!"

THE NOAH JUNIOR REGULARS
(YO-HEY & Seiki Yoshioka)

YO-HEY: Ok Ok. We are the midst of the N-1 VICTORY today, aren't we? In the midst of that, we juniors in the Regular Army are fighting hard, and we're doing things like boosting each other, but today was STINGER'S Yuya Susumu, the first time we have faced someone other than the Regular Army. He and him alone, he was the only one on the battle card. I don't know what the other junior members think. There's a lot Kongoh, Perros, STINGER...there are many. There's a lot going on, but during this N-1 Period, we will fight more and more and build a level far higher than you guys. While you wait impatiently in front of the television of WRESTLEUNIVERSE, yeah, we are going to go to our goal. Sendai next? I'm going to run hard towards the N-Innovation on September 21st. Nice to meet you there. Say something.
YOSHIOKA: Even if our affiliation is different*, as a person who was a pro wrestler in Hiroshima, I can't lose today.
YO-HEY: For sure. Best regards from Classmate Tag.

*YO-HEY is from Dove, who operate in the Hiroshima/Osaka area, and Seiki Yoshioka is from WrestleGate, a Hiroshima based promotion.

SATOSHI KOJIMA
"N-1, after three matches, my body has already reached its limit. It's no use telling lies, I'm really pushing myself to the limit. But that's the interesting thing about professional wrestling, because I am doing it to the limit, all sorts of power comes out of me. It's precisely because I am pushing myself to the limit that I can beat all sorts of different wrestlers. I think I'm able to be a pro wrestler now because I am pushing myself to the limit. The wrestler I met for the first time, so young, strong and cool. I'm a wrestler on the point of wondering what to do, I still have big goals, huh? Until I achieve that, I'll keep on in the ring here"

GO SHIOZAKI

SHIOZAKI: Amazing! Mochizuki, you're amazing...this year's N-1 is really full of peculiarities. Lost the first match, and then quirky Anthony Greene, and Mochizuki, he's strong isn't he?
Q: This is your second consecutive win
SHIOZAKI: This two match winning streak is huge for me. There are some wrestlers who are still behind, but I was able to win with these two matches in a row. This is something that only I can experience. Beating those two is like getting closer to winning the N-1.
Q: Next time in Sendai, there is the match with Kenoh
SHIOZAKI: He is a wrestler that you can simply compare which one is better. I will bring out Go Shiozaki to the fullest. I'm going to break through. Although he is the GHC champion, regardless of that, I will smash the wall called Kenoh to pieces. I am NOAH.

MASAAKI MOCHIZUKI
(He collapses in the comment space) "Well, somehow, until last year I managed to fight for first place. This time, it's a three match losing streak. Laugh at me already. You have no choice but to laugh. But hey, I'm alive"

KAITO KIYOMIYA

KIYOMIYA: To be honest, I am overwhelmed by many things. I don't have much left to go, and I think that I am in situation where even if I win even one more step from here, and there is no going back for me. That is why it it is already true, no matter what.
Q: You used a Mutoh finisher to win, but how did it feel?
KIYOMIYA: Always arrives (rough, does not translate). Today was the first time that I released it in the ring, but thanks to Mutoh-san, I think was able to do it with confidence.
Q: What made you win against Nakajima, as an opponent who has not been able to produce results recently?
KIYOMIYA: I really don't have time to worry about all kinds of things now and with that, I am going to fight in the ring from now on.
Q: Rather than the joy of winning, do you feel like you are being cornered?
KIYOMIY: True. I really can't take one step back. I think the rest is about whether I can do it or not.

KATSUHIKO NAKAJIMA
"Shit! Oh! Oh! (Sits) But still...second loss...still two losses, but it's not over yet...it's not over...I have won this hot N-1 twice so far. They say what happens twice, happens three times. Hey? Not yet, not yet...N-1 from now on.

MASATO TANAKA
"Like I said in the wing, I am the one who stopped Kenoh's winning streak, and I am also the one who has defeated the strongest man in Noah's ring currently. I can say it with confidence, I am going to win the N-1. It's true that it's strange that it's really frustrating that I tapped to Hideki Suzuki yesterday, but I felt it was necessary to win this league. I won today, and it feels really good. It feels great to be the last wrestler standing in the main stage of a big tournament. The N-1 is really tough. I have fought many league matches, but I think it's a really tough league match at the top. That's what I am thinking when I'm fighting. Again, I really don't know how this is going to work, and someone might get hurt. I don't want that and neither do the fans. I think it would be best. I would be grateful if the fans who only came to see me, wished for that and in that I think it would be great if I could stand in the final ring. Thank you."

KENOH
"Shit...shit...what is this? A loss...is a loss"
