(NOAH) I went to L.A for the Great Muta HOF Awards (Pro Wrestling Noah's Takeda)

Mutoh is different person in America and Japan than Muta and Mutoh. He is very active in America.

After arriving in Santa Monica, where I remember filming the Tokon V Special with Inoki-san a long time ago, we headed to the hotel for check in. At work, Mutoh usually leaves only Manager Suzuki or wrestlers to take of his personal affairs, but since Suzuki did not accompany him this time, Mutoh always had Inamura by his side. And he talked about pro wrestling all the time, replacing any event with it, or applying it to Noah to come up with ideas.

In America, we ate basic meals together every night. If there is a restaurant that I like, then I will go to the same place more often. This time, the Chinese restaurant, KORAKU in Little Tokyo, which was about 15 minutes by car from the hotel, was on heavy rotation. It's quite a favorite, so I even kept a bottle. Everyone was at the same table, and talked about applying what they saw this time of the massive scenery of WWE, and applying it to Japanese pro wrstling and Noah.

At the WWE tryout, four rings were set up on a college playing field. Over the course of three days, hundreds of top student athletes will be whittled down. I also talked with Mutoh that as Noah is facing the problem of recruiting new members, from here it's time to scout, instead of recruiting like in the past.

I saw tryouts, superstores (which made Makuhari Messe* look like a shop), the HOF, Smackdown, WM (Wrestlemania) and RAW during my stay, but I was overwhelmed by the sense of scale. And the day after WM, Endeavor became the parent company of WWE, and the two groups combined. The unexpected scale of the news that they will be in the same group also came to my mind. At the opening of RAW that day, HHH appeared and explained on the microphone to give reassurance that nothing had changed in the ring, for the wrestlers or WWE.
But is this sense of scale is what America is all about?
Is it okay for the Japanese professional wrestling world to just look at this sense of scale?
Is it possible to make pro-wrestling a bigger business in Japan?
If WWE doesn't see Japan as a market, it made me think about various things, such as whether we should put more effort into developing the American market from professional wrestling in Japan. In order to do that, we must first increase the volume in Japan, and carry out Noah in a situation where there is no shortage of young people who want to become wrestlers or want to come to the front desk to find employment in the wrestling industry. After that, I think it will be possible to go into the world, as it will not be able to fit into the Japanese market alone. Pro Wrestling in the United States is based on a basic scheme of simple entertainment, in which the customer has fun, and the promotion strives to provide content that pleases the customer. 80,000 people all gathered together for one day to have fun, so the excitement was incredible.

Next year, I will have the younger wrestlers and the young staff watch WrestleMania at the location, and I will do my best in Japan again from today, setting a big goal of wanting to use the stimulation in business.
