INTERVIEW

Q: What are your thoughts on participating in the N-1 VICTORY 2023?

ANZAI: I'm really looking forward to it. Normally, when I am in All Japan, I can sometimes fight with Noah wrestlers in a competitive match, but not in a tournament like this. Thinking about it makes me excited. I think it would be great if people could get to know All Japan and Yuma Anzai. 

Q: That sounds very humble

ANZAI: Well, it figures, but when you stand in the ring, it doesn't matter anymore, and I don't think ot matters whether you are a newcomer or a wrestler from another promotion, and course I want to aim for the championship because I'm going to go hard. 

Q: What would you say about your strengths and weapons?

ANZAI: Speaking of my strength, it's my resilience. It figures, I have been competing against big wrestlers in All Japan, so I think I'm more tough than the others. I don't know if I would call it a weapon, but it's been less than a year since my debut, so for better or worse, it's like I don't know fear. I think the weapon is that I can go at it head on. 

Q: So, are there any wrestlers that you are interested in in B Block of the N-1 VICTORY 2023?

ANZAI: Of course, everyone has a feeling of wanting to win, but among them it figures, that I am aware of Shiozaki and Nakajima. After all, if you say "I am NOAH" or a Noah wrestler, then I think their names will come up first. In that, I wonder if those two are the ones who I will feel Noah most out of the first time I am competing here. 

Q: Are there any wrestlers from Block A that you want to fight in the championship?

ANZAI: It figures that is Jake. Is it going to be Jake? That's why he has the GHC belt now at the present time. I don't care about the fact that we were in the same promotion, it's simply because he is the person who has the most amazing belt in the promotion. It's just the feeling that I want to go through Block B and win, whoever comes.

Q: Finally, please tell us of your enthusiasm.

ANZAI: I'm really excited about the N-1, because it's my first time participating, and I want to do my best to win the championship. All Japan fans, I will do my best in the ring of an outside promotion, so please support me. And to all the Noah fans, whether you know me or not, please take a look at me. Please!
