(NOAH): Mitsuharu Misawa's post match comments ("DEPARTURE" 19th August 2000, Differ Ariake)
5th September 2000 (Issue No.993)
MISAWA: I can feel the spirit of Taue and Izumida, but not on the same base as it was before, so I'll have to toy with the opponents. As usual, I have to lead Taue more. Izumida seemed more motivated.
Q: A chapter has come to an end with the launch complete?
MISAWA: Rather than saying it's over, I'd say there's another one. It feels like September is over, and from October there will be a series*. Once it starts, there's no end to it. I'd like to take a break (laughs). But, I don't feel strangely tired, and now the wrestlers are showing their true colors, so it's actually rewarding. The cards are also worth making, and I think things are heading in a good direction.
Q: Some people have said that they want you to come and see PRIDE?
MISAWA: I won't be going. They have asked me to come, but I don't have time for that.
Notes
Series: Old fashioned word for "tour". Misawa didn't really like using "series" as he felt it was archaic, but then again he didn't like the word "tour" either (although he did use it), and in later years settled for "Navi" (as in "Navigation")
