Bold: After winning an impressive National match against Kondo, Soya will face Kitamiya in his fourth title match on January 1st at the Budokan!

In his third GHC National title match, the champion Manabu Soya, and his personally appointed challenger Kondo Shuji, both exchanged repeated lariats to the point that their bodies groaned. Kondo's mixed hard and soft attacks made Soya's right arm scream. He lost count of how many times he was on the floor of the ring, but Soya got up with a frenetic look on his face and fought back with an explosive, passionate attack. "At first, Shuji Kondo didn't say a word, but he did a great job in the title match. I don't really understand what's going on with him, but he is blowing hot and cold?! But thank you Shuji Kondo for putting on such a hot match today!" This was the match that Soya wanted.
Soya had defeated Go Shiozaki on November 9th in Osaka, and successfully defended the GHC National title for the second time. After the match, he named Kondo, "my senior and tag partner," as his challenger. Things might have gone more smoothly if Kondo had participated in the tournament, but strangely enough, Kondo did not, and no reply was received. Soya had planned to make his case in the head-to-head match on November 17th in Nagoya, but he was defeated by Kondo's tag partner, Masa Kitamiya.
Kondo turned his back on Soya, saying, "You nominated me, but you're going to lose to someone else?" and "I've lost interest." Soya, (who had drawn with YO-HEY in a singles match in Shinagawa in an afternoon show on November 30th the day before), called out, "Shuji Kondo, give me an answer already!" but there was no response.

All the cards were announced on the day of the event, and the GHC National Championship match between Soya and Kondo was announced at the opening, which drew loud cheers from the audience. On the other hand, there was a slight sense of anxiety as to whether Kondo would actually show up, but he did, and stood before Soya and fought head on. Soya poured all his passion into his tempestuous senior and finally got the pin with with a passionate DDT from a ballistic trajectory, defending the GHC National successfully.
"I want to fight Kondo-san again and again! If the opportunity arises, let's fight for this belt again. Thank you for today!"
As Soya bowed his head and said this, Kitamiya appeared. "There are people like Kondo Shuji who don't come out even when you call them, and there are challengers like me who don't care what is happening, and just come out on their own!"
Soya, who lost to Kitamiya on November 17th in Nagoya, responded without hesitation. "January 1st at Nippon Budokan, let's have a passionate, manly match!"

The National Champion in the red belt will be unleashing his passion at the Budokan in the New Year.
