(NOAH) Passionate and stubborn: The GHC National pre match between Soya and Kitamiya begins
25th December 2024 (Issue no 2333)
The GHC National Championship pre-match between champion Manabu Soya and challenger Masa Kitamiya was, as expected, a fierce battle of wills. This was somewhat predictable before the match, but once they actually faced each other, the unyielding spirit of both men exploded on a whole new level. They competed with the same moves, including lockups, shoulder tackles, lariats, brain-busters, and spears. They even broke the rules and showed off their signature moves, with Kitamiya violently shaking the ropes and Soya reacting when taking the hit. Perhaps their passion was transferred to each other as they fought.
Anyway, it was the day of the match between the champions, HAYATA & YO-HEY, and the challengers, AMAKUSA & Junta Miyawaki, which was also a pre match for the GHC Junior Tag Championship, but it was the passion of Soya and Kitamiya that was overwhelming, and their show of determination continued even after the match. First of all, Soya, having won the match, began doing squats as if to say he still had plenty of energy left. Seeing this, Kitamiya entered the ring, threw the GHC National Champion out, and began doing push ups....with his fists, no less, as Kitamiya had won the grip strength challenge at the press conference three days prior. Soya returned to the ring, threw the challenger out, and began squatting again. The first pre match gave the impression that the champion had a slight advantage.
Kitamiya, who left first, said, "I can't lose either. I've fought Soya three times in singles matches and lost all three times. For me, Soya is a real obstacle. I can't move forward unless I overcome him. I'll overcome the obstacle of Soya, and then move forwards in the 25th year."
He will be challenging for the GHC National with a solemn resolve.
