"When The Untouchables are reorganized, I want to be made an official member"

Marufuji had stated this previously. 

While it's true that, due to his role as Misawa's attendant, he had wrestled many matches as a semi-member of The Untouchables, representing Misawa and Ogawa, he was never officially recognized as a full member of the team. 

After the Nagoya event, Misawa announced the dissolution of The Untouchables and the formation of a new team called "Wave". Marufuji's name was also clearly listed among the members of this new team, but in order to live up to the expectations of Misawa, who has recognized him as an official member, Marufuji will face even more intense battles from now on. 

Appearing in the main event as part of a trio with Misawa and Ogawa, Marufuji delivered a performance that more than lived up to expectations. From the start, he displayed his impressive agility and tricky attacks that bewildered his opponents, Akiyama, Takayama and Asako. His confident demeanour even drew "Marufuji" chants from the crowd. Although he was the one pinned, his performance was more than satisfactory. 

Misawa also highly praised Marufuji's efforts, saying, "The younger guys are learning to make themselves known. (Marufuji) was reliable and had a strong presence". 

Therefore, for Wave to create a big wave on the Noah mat, new energy is absolutely essential. Marufuji is the fresh energy of that Wave.
