(NOAH) CARD ~ "NOAH SANCTUARY" (30th July 2020, Club Citta, Kawasaki)

Noah return to "CLUB CITTA"in Kawasaki, which was where they held most of their empty arena shows. The venue itself is no stranger to pro-wrestling, having enjoyed an indie boom period during the 1990s, however since then its fallen out of favor a bit. Noah combining wrestling and J-POP in their quest to reach out to people who normally wouldn't watch wrestling, have spearheaded a kind of renaissance, and speaking of J-POP, the band TEENS HEAVEN will also be there.

The event will be broadcast live on WRESTLEUNIVERSE at  19.00 JST. However, this will not be a free stream you will need to subscribe to the service. It's 900 yen per calendar month, with the first month free. Included in the subscription is DDT, BASARA, Rojo (Street) Pro Wrestling, Tokyo Joshi and Ganbare. As the service expands, I imagine that more promotions will be added. 

MATCH ONE

"CITTA THE TOUGH"

Shuhei Taniguchi & Kinya Okada vs THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)

A beast fight, a hoss fight, call it what you will, is going to open the show as Noah's veteran monster, Shuhei Taniguchi, collides (literally) with Masa Kitamiya and Yoshiki Inamura. Lots going down in the first match between these four, not least the rivalry between the two seniors, and the rivalry between Yoshiki Inamura and Kinya Okada. Masa Kitamiya has often been called a "Showa Wrestler" (he was born in the closing years of the era), and Kinya Okada has adopted the Showa era style, expect a clash between the two to go to a classical school of wrestling. 

MATCH TWO

YO-HEY vs Seiki Yoshioka

The two veterans of club wrestling from their days in the indies will have their first singles match ever (although the last time they both wrestled in a club, it had pounding music in the background, and YO-HEY was a stripper). In the five matches they have had since 2017, in one they teamed and have both had two victories over the other which makes them even, this match is going to tip the score, unless of course it goes time out.  

MATCH THREE

AXIZ (Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima) vs Kongoh (Haoh and Nioh)

The heavyweight black crows of AXIZ take on the junior red flames of Kongoh. I feel sorry for Kongoh, Haoh in particular as being Noah's current whipping boy, it's most likely going to be him who gets the machine gun chops, the soccer ball kicks, and if he is really unfortunate, the dreaded "Endless Love" kick chop combo.

MATCH FOUR

Naomichi Marufuji & FULL THROTTLE (Atsushi Kotoge & Hajime Ohara) vs Kaito Kiyomiya, Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke

Naomichi Marufuji teams with the crazy Atsushi Kotoge (who comes out telling everyone that he is "the leader") and the real leader of "FULL THROTTLE", Hajime Ohara. Marufuji also gets to team against Kaito Kiyomiya, Tadasuke and Daisuke Harada, who he has a somewhat childish relationship with. Interesting mix in this match of juniors with a heavyweight strength, heavyweights who can wrestle as juniors, Daisuke Harada vs Hajime Ohara (a gem in Noah's treasure chest which they tend to save) and a crazy person, who thinks he is the leader.
