(NOAH) Post match interviews, final night of Global Tag League, Korakuen Hall, 12th April 2018
YO-HEY
"To be honest, I want to talk about two days miso ramen in Sapporo than the individuals in the junior tags. There are various teams, but I personally think there are some guys to pay attention to. Kumano, from The Backbreakers, who has already made a terrible mark. Truly, I will show my own bear-like power. To such a bear, YO-HEY-chan was Kerokerokeroppi*, but to be honest I felt more like peropelopropi*...or something like that...and won the single. Afterwards mother, bride and boss will have single person matches, but since miracle YO-HEY-chan was able to get rid of Kumano, and there have it, I really do work for Sekine*. Is there anything else?"
*Kurozurozuroppi: A character from "Hello Kitty" (is a frog character with large eyes and a V-shaped mouth. Keroppi loves adventure, and his bubbly personality makes him popular around Donut Pond. He has a brother called Koroppi and a sister called Pikki. Most often he is seen with his little snail friend Den Den, always tagging along a little behind. Keroppi is a fantastic swimmer and singer (but not at the same time)"
*No idea what or who this is.
*Tsutomu Sekine: a Japanese comedian, singer and television presenter
MINORU TANAKA
"At the start of my career I wanted to avoid as much as possible, being put in a tough situation (I'm going to do it). I started my career at about the same time as Hi69, and we know how to overturn a bad situation...we burn for such situations. Harada & Tadasuke, we have lost twice to you on the same card, but we will be turning this over. Do you know what I mean by this? We will revenge ourselves on Harada & Tadasuke in the first round. The team of Minoru Tanaka & Hi69 will win, and we will become the new Junior Tag Team Champions. I will be able to say that "we were able to overtirn the situation" for the first time, but it is not a big deal. I will not say it too often, not until I acquire the junior tag with my partner. We will go to Sapporo".
HAJIME OHARA
"I have been losing to HAYATA lately, I lost. Today I didn't think about it. I felt a lot of tension before the match, but I took the match today with the Muy Bien. It is a good way to go towards Sapporo, and I am a little more confident. Singles and tag matches are different, but there was also a feeling of "I am sorry" or "I am about to lose" by being hit by HAYATA today, but because I won I have not lost my confidence to go to Sapporo. As far as the Backbreakers are concerned, we we have broken through one shell, and today we are Mui Bien!"
HI69
HI69: Alright...Sapporo...well, today Minoru won and I also won. I have more momentum, and in Sapporo we will surely capture the belt together. As you saw today, I could have won the GHC Junior champion, and now it is in my head. I will win that championship one day, and Sapporo we will put on the belts.
Q: That last move...
HI69: It is the Michinoku Driver β, which my teacher TAKA Michinoku once used.
Q: Would you aim to use that on the day?
HI69: Of course. I think it is something that will win the fight against the champion in the pre match fights, so I will go after the the champions one by one and end with the same result.
ATSUSHI KOTOGE
Q: Although you haven't made it to the finals, will you use this force in the Niigata GHC match to gain victory?
KOTOGE: Yes, even though I have been pinned three times in the league. I wish I could laugh, I should laugh, if you feel sorry...eh...I think Niigata's title matches can only be done by me in this situation, and I will do it in this situation. In Sapporo I have no expectations, but in Yokohama the fans booed me. Give me a reaction, and I will accept it.
GO SHIOZAKI
Q: You have won, how are you feeling?
SHIOZAKI: We have won our first victory. Kiyomiya missed out because of a concussion. To be honest I was worried about what would happen at the beginning, but thankfully Kiyomiya and I were able to arrive here like this. There are still a lot of things to do in the tag, but I saw the fight in Kiyomiya today...I guess that is because he is convinced that this tag can climb rapidly to the heights which we are aiming for. Frankly, this is an awesome win today.
Q: What does Kiyomiya feel about the win?
KIYOMIYA: To be honest, I missed some of the league and this must have been annoying to Shiozaki, who I really appreciate. I got back to the goal and I would like to keep to that.
Q: Did Shiozaki stimulate you in today's match?
KIYOMIYA: If there is a part when I cannot stand, I depend on Shiozaki to do it, but I don't think it can always be done.
SHIOZAKI: Because Kiyomiya has strong feelings, even if I were killed, I could get up. I sometimes wanted to show him the strength I have recieved, which I said I wanted to show today. In my opinion on winning the championship, we have overlapped. However, I am not going to leave it to Kiyomiya, as I myself still have to do my part, but really it was helped by Kiyomiya's strength to stand.
Q: Shiozaki took the result?
SHIOZAKI: As we said earlier, we also have to move ahead...this is not the goal, this is just one point of pass. I don't like to say this too much, but we are aiming higher...I want to refine this tag, its power is Kiyomiya and myself.
Q: You are going after the belt?
SHIOZAKI: I do not intend to cool this heat while this fever is hot towards The Aggression. We will take the GHC Tag and Kiyomiya will fly even more. To be honest we did lose to Masa Kitamiya during the league, but when it comes to such things, we pass over them, and we forget the league matches are just league matches, the GHC tag is another matter. We will get the belts and take our strength beyond today.
KIYOMIYA: Yes
SHIOZAKI: Alright, thanks!
KIYOMIYA: Thank you.
TAKASHI SUGIURA
Q: Rettably...
SUGIURA: I lost...I lost...
Q: Did you see the change in Kiyomiya today?
SUGIURA: I did not notice, Shiozaki worked hard and beat both of us.
Q: Is he in your view going to be the next challenger?
SUGIURA: He must enter. I would be in constant trouble if I stayed in my comfort zone, because I won today or because I had a good match today, or something like that which meant I would lose sight of things. I always have to be concious of being here and doing what I can today and every day.
Q: Now that Global Tag League is finished, the next challenge is a defense against Kotoge?
SUGIURA: I reget the league match, but I will defend and I look forward to it.
Q: You face Kotoge at Korakuen at the end of March in the same card that you lost in, are you organised for Sapporo?
SUGIURA: I will not lose of course, but what will he do next, what kind of match will it be? I am hoping that it will not be normal.
Q: Do you think support for Kotoge is growing?
SUGIURA: Lets see after Sapporo.
