(NOAH FROM THE VAULT, 22nd March 2017) "I cannot finish this in one match" Go Shiozaki talks about his match with Eddie Edwards

On the 12th March, Go Shiozaki lost an epic battle with Nakajima and failed to capture the belt, but now he is looking for a new goal! He talks anout the challenge on the 25th March with Eddie Edwards at Korakuen Hall.

"After all, Eddie Edwards is Noah born"

Q: Regretfully I missed the title match in Yokohama, but please let me know what your current thoughts are?

SHIOZAKI: I lost to Katsuhiko Nakajima, the GHC Champion, if I lose more I cannot fall further, so I must climb up. Lets do it again! I have feelings on many things. To the contrary there is fire, and I don't want to lose (when challenging next).

Q: Will you capture the belt when you challenge next?

SHIOZAKI: Of course! At that time (the next challenge) I will not lose to him, and I will win.

Q: In such circumstances, on the 25th March at the final event in Korakuen, you face Eddie Edwards. Did you see his fight with Kotoge in Yokohama?

SHIOZAKI: I was watching. I saw that he was stronger than before, and his skill in the match shone. After all, Eddie Edwards is Noah born.

"I cannot finish this in one match"

Q: You know each other well, you debuting in 2004, he coming to Noah in 2005?

SHIOZAKI: Yes. We were trainees at the dojo, and were forever practising together, my first single victory was against Eddie. I have also had matches against Eddie several times in single matches, but I am also getting stronger, and so there are things I must think of. He has been a champion in the USA, and he knows that we cannot end this in just one match.

Q: Eddie wore green when in Yokohama, you were doing the machine gun chop etc, how did it feel to be so concious of Kobashi?

SHIOZAKI: I saw the green and the purple soul, I saw that in Eddie. As men born in Noah, these are the color of our souls. I want to compete with Eddie in a singles match again.

Q: Of course when it comes down to the chop battle, you cannot be beaten

SHIOZAKI: That sounds painful, its...(bitter smile)...I guess it will hurt (laughs). Well, it will be a mutural thing, and I think Eddie is a wrestler who uses chops, so it will certainly be a situation where we compete in them. Of course at the time, it will be a case of who derives the most powerful chop? I want both the people watching, and Eddie to feel it.
