Since suffering from kidney cancer, Kobashi has made numerous speeches and lectures to various people regarding the condition and surviving it.
Most famous trainees are KENTA & Go Shiozaki (out of everyone, they have become like his sons, KENTA maybe a little more than Shiozaki, but it is Shiozaki who has picked up his mannerisms)
Once prank called Mitsuharu Misawa (Misawa's reaction "Kobashi! You bastard!")
Giant Baba chose Kobashi as his assistant, as he did not like his present one. Unable to rage at Baba, he smacked Kobashi in the mouth.
