(NOAH) Event recap ~ 14th October 2018, Kobe Samba Hall, Kobe

The GHC Heavyweight tag title championship match signing took place today between Naomichi Marufuji and Akitoshi Saito, and the challengers, Maybach Taniguchi and Cody Hall of The Hooligans. For Naomichi Marufuji this was payback for when Taniguchi screwed him over on the last night of "Winter Navigation 2018" and joined with Mitsuya Nagai.
Mitsuya Nagai and KAZMA SAKAMOTO (complete with Hooligans flag) hovered in the background.

Go Shiozaki was on autograph duty.

MATCH ONE
Masao Inoue vs Yoshiki Inamura
WINNER: Masao Inoue with the Boston crab (8 minutes and 35 seconds)

MATCH TWO
The Backbreakers (Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano) vs Atsushi Kotoge & Koji Fujinaga

The cloak was again out today, and Kotoge managed not to get it caught this time. He yelled "Hajime Ohara! I got you!" when hanging Ohara off the ropes
Hajime Ohara had no taping today, and was looking a lot better.

WINNER: Hitoshi Kumano with the Argentine Backbreaker on Koji Fujinaga (10 minutes and 36 seconds)

MATCH THREE
Kenoh & Kaito Kiyomiya vs The Hooligans (KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Mitsuya Nagai)

Tough fight with the usual Hooligan antics (they cheated, Kenoh started shrieking to the referee), and the fight went into the crowd where the usual weapons were used (chairs etc as Nagai has been stopped from stealing fans towels after someone got very very angry and came stamping over to try and snatch it from him).
Kenoh was the smallest man in the match being only 5'9 and was towered over by the 5'11 Kiyomiya, and the 6ft KAZMA SAKAMOTO and Mitsuya Nagai.

WINNER: KAZMA SAKAMOTO with the pin on Kaito Kiyomiya after being hit with the flag pole (13 minutes and 15 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
Daisuke Harada & Junta Miyawaki vs Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki

Junta Miyawaki was knocked out of the match early, leaving Harada alone to face Suzuki and Ogawa.  Suzuki then hit Harada hard with the belt and made him bleed (he bled more than he did when Hi69 carved him up and there was blood all over the belt), Ogawa in typical style gouged the wound.

The referee stopped the match due to the combined beat down by Ogawa and Suzuki, and so Harada and Miyawaki won by default. This is sadly, not the first official win for Junta Miyawaki. Suzuki held the blood covered belt up over Harada.

As YO-HEY & HAYATA (who were seconding Harada) looked on and while Harada stumbled out of the ring, Suzuki faced them and held the belt up. Then he and Ogawa stood as Ogawa had once done when he was in a tag team with Mitsuharu Misawa.

Junta Miyawaki afterwards said he was angry at himself.

WINNER: Daisuke Harada & Junta Miyawaki by default following referee stoppage (12 minutes)

MATCH FIVE
Hi69, Minoru Tanaka & Koji Kanemoto vs RATELS (YO-HEY, HAYATA & Tadasuke)

After the match (and I think probably in the interview area), Koji Kanemoto expressed a desire to challenge for the GHC Junior Heavyweight tag belts, his partner is as yet unknown. If Kanemoto does challenge, it will be a return of his feud with Minoru Tanaka.

WINNER: YO-HEY with the moonsault on Koji Kanemoto (16 minutes and 16 seconds)

MATCH SIX
Takashi Sugiura & 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs The Aggression (Masa Kitamiya & Katsuhiko Nakakima) & Go Shiozaki

Usual chop battle between Go Shiozaki and Takashi Sugiura

WINNER: Mohammed Yone with the Funky Buster Bomb on Masa Kitamiya (16 minutes and 18 seconds)

MATCH SEVEN
GHC HEAVYWEIGHT TAG CHAMPIONSHIP
Naomichi Marufuji & Akitoshi Saito vs The Hooligans (Cody Hall & Maybach Taniguchi)

Naomichi Marufuji emerged looking tired, and The Hooligans got up to their usual tricks.

Mitsuya Nagai got on the microphone afterwards. I am afraid I don't know what he was saying, but since he was pointing to the belt, I would imagine that after Global League wraps up, he will be challenging for the belts with KAZMA SAKAMOTO.
Anyway, Nagai left screaming not to forget about himself and KAZMA, but at Global League, he would whip them both (he is also in Block A)

When Nagai and the others had gone, Marufuji got on the microphone and thanked Saito, and said to the crowd, "you know who my partner is?" and the crowd replied, "Saito-san" (Mr. Saito)

Later on Instagram, Naomichi Marufuji said that he would miss fighting with Saito next to him in Global League (they are both in Block A, and so will be fighting against each other)

As for The Hooligans? Mitsuya Nagai says this ain't over...

WINNER: Akitoshi Saito via Deathbrand on Maybach Taniguchi (20 minutes and 43 seconds)

ATTENDANCE: 235
