The challenger for the GHC Junior Championship, Kotaro Suzuki, broke the champion, Daisuke Harada, and became the 37th holder of the title.
Kotaro Suzuki was crowned for the first time in eight years since winning the title at the Nippon Budokan in December 2010 during his era with Noah.
He left Noah in 2013, and after working in All Japan etc, returned to his old nest as a freelance. For the young champion, Daisuke Harada, he was dominant in the early stage of the match and in the middle took a number of elbows to the abdomen. Although Harada seemed to be maintaining the upper hand to the last, he won with successive La Magistral "Endless Waltz".
After the match, Daisuke Harada's seconds, YO-HEY & HAYATA put themselves forward as the next challenger, he said, "There is only one person I want after winning this, Naomichi Marufuji. I want to wear this belt, and for you to have a match with me."
Marufuji, is his fellow pupil (i.e. they were both trained by Mitsuharu Misawa).
