GHC Heavyweight champion, Takashi Sugiura (48) came to the Noah office in Tokyo on the 5th October, the day after the sixth defensive match.

Takashi Sugiura received tremendous blows from Nakajima at Korakuen Hall on the 4th; high kicks, blows to the face etc, but he endured and triumphed with the ankle hold.
"It was a hard and cruel match, I was struck quite a bit and my face is swollen; but I slept well" he recalled looking back on it.

Immediately after the match he was challenged by the new generation, especially Kaito Kiyomiya, and Mitsuya Nagai's Hooligans. Sugiura said about the next title challenge, ""Global League starts from the 30th, so wait just a little bit. If somebody controls the league, then I will face that person, but I have a feeling that I will win, and therefore as there will be no opponent among you, I will demand a challenger from elsewhere".
As GHC Heavyweight Champion, he said that he wanted to challenge when he hears that the wrestler who dominates Global League is not one from before (rough translation)
