(NOAH) "Come at me you bastards" ~ Kenoh's column (December 2018)

The column starts with Kenoh being asked about what he thought when he heard that Hayato Fujita has cancer. Kenoh says he was surprised to hear it, although admittedly, he is not very interested in gossip about people. In April he had suffered a patella tendon rupture, which naturally caused him to miss time. Kenoh says that with that kind of injury, you don't normally miss more than year, but he fears that without Hayato, Michinoku Pro will lack energy.
But what about the diagnosis?
Kenoh says he can't imagine what it must be like, and holds up Kenta Kobashi as an example as Kobashi overcame kidney cancer and made a return to the ring. Pro wrestlers are considered to be supermen, they are not only strong, but their natural healing power is thought to be superhuman.

"Hayato, especially, is a strong man".

Kenoh says that "attitude is important in living" and if you set your mind on a target, then it will be good for you. He says he knows he always says "I will take Noah to the Budokan", but he also knows people think only of their own reputation. Kenoh believes in the power of positive thinking, if he continues to say it, then it will come true. Hayato himself said, "I want to return in June next year", and Kenoh urges him to continue saying it. He wants it to come true.
So, what is Hayato to Kenoh?
Kenoh says that no one can get anywhere in wrestling without a rival, and he and Hayato where together in that for about five or six years, without Hayato, he wouldn't be as strong.

"If he were not in Michinoku in those days, I do not think I could have been as strong, I recognize his ability, and to tell the truth, I think he is a really good wrestler."

Q: What match is in your impression?
KENOH: As expected, it is a triumphant one. I was worried about my career for one or two years, but because he was my opponent, the results came out. In all our singles, four times, all title matches, he was an opponent who could make you feel fresh, even if you win or lose. He was an opponent that brings out everything
Q: You left Michinoku, and haven't had any contact past June 2015 at Korakuen Hall?
KENOH: Only in the ring, nothing in private. I did have a vague thought that we could fight in the ring again, I thought it would be time for it at the 25th anniversary at Michinoku Pro this year.

They then talk about Michinoku Pro at Korakuen Hall in December. Kenoh says he thinks that "professional wrestling = strength", and naturally strong people compete with each other in pro-wrestling. To him that is too comical, and he doesn't need such an element.
The rest does not really translate well, but he says that each year Michinoku Pro put on an event that would put them in the main each year, and it is the professional wrestler way, truly, to avoid such major injuries (rough translation).
Even though he no longer works for Michinoku Pro, the drama of himself and Hayato is not over yet.

Then, Kenoh being Kenoh, its time to rant about the question he asks, "why are there always stupid presidents, everywhere I belong to? If you think about it, Chairman Sasuke and President Uchida have tremendous similarities."

So to wrap up, this weeks theme was Hayato.
Kenoh says that sometimes cancer is found early because of injuries, and wrestlers (such as Kenta Kobashi and others) have overcome it and returned to active life in the ring. He says that he believes that Hayato will triumph over cancer, and return to the ring in June next year.
