(NOAH) Event recap ~ "Navigation For The Progress", Tokorozawa Citizen Gymnasium Sub Arena, (Friday, February 22nd 2019, NIGHT THREE)

Noah returned today to the Tokorozawa Citizen Gymnasium, not a sold out crowd, but the show itself had a few surprises in store for the audience.

"I miss The Revolution"
Due to the injury to Atsushi Kotoge (and still no indication of when he will return I am afraid), Noah had to change the card, and announced a few days ago that a surprise wrestler would be appearing.
The identity of the silhouette (which is probably a silhouette of Mitsuya Nagai from looking at it) ranged from both Eddie Edwards and Jay Bradley; both wrestlers who people want to see back in Noah.

YO-HEY and HAYATA went out yesterday and got drunk on Jack Daniels. A hungover YO-HEY was on autograph duty, and ask HAYATA how he feels, and he would probably say "same", although naturally he said nothing about it.

Noah's resident disco loving afro-man, Mohammed Yone, celebrated his forty-third birthday on the 23rd February, and so flowers where placed in the lobby, surrounded by the 50 Funky Power color of blue balloons.

"Every match has a sense of urgency and speed"

MATCH 1
Akitoshi Saito vs Kinya Okada

"Saito stands as a big wall"
(Noah GHC)

Winner: Akitoshi Saito with the Suicludees (5 minutes and 26 seconds)

MATCH 2
Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke & Junta Miyawaki vs Minoru Tanaka, Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki

Ishii & Iwasaki were presented with gifts of flowers and Whey Protein (very popular among the Noah wrestlers, except Hitoshi Kumano, that is, who has a milk allergy) and their team mates and opponents were also presented with the same.

Minoru Tanaka made his second request at the end of the match, he wants the main event in Yokohama to be the GHC Junior Heavyweight title match between himself and Harada.
Hiroshi Yamato also made a speech, by saying that from now on, he wants to fight as a Noah junior.

WINNER: Kouki Iwasaki with the Vertical fall type reverse DDT on Junta Miyawaki (11 minutes and 56 seconds)

MATCH 3
Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya & HAYATA vs Go Shiozaki, Yoshiki Inamura & Eddie Edwards (X Wrestler\"Mr. X")

This was very much a heavyweight match for HAYATA, being the only junior among them, but he held himself well, and looked coldly sadistic at Yoshiki Inamura - the fact that he was wearing black added to the effect.

The mysterious wrestler, who came in to replace the injured Atsushi Kotoge, was none other than Eddie Edwards. The crowd, thrilled to see the former GHC Heavyweight Champion so unexpectedly (and of course considering that he is considered to be a Noah wrestler, and Noah born), chanted "Welcome back!", as fans echoed the sentiment on Twitter. It says a lot that some people even put, "welcome home". Edwards (a lot more in the heavyweight mold than he was in 2017 and looking thicker set) came out in the Misawa green, and just to see him, meant a lot to the audience as one fan put it, especially as the country folk do not often get to see things like this.
Kenoh, however, stood with the habitual scowl, and this being Kenoh no doubt got up after doing his entry pose, muttered something under his breath at Edwards, glared, and pulled his collar as he stalked away.
It was also the brief reunion (despite the three man tag) of "Team Chop" (Go Shiozaki and Eddie Edwards)

Yoshiki Inamura was said to have a huge presence in the match, and looked very good when Shiozaki got the emergency tag to him as he yelled, "Mr. Shiozaki! I will go!"

Match full of machine gun chops, kicks and lariats (especially Kenoh on Inamura).

After the match, Kitamiya and Edwards shook hands in a display of sportsmanship and also a promise for the match at Korakuen Hall on the 24th.

WINNER: Kenoh with a kick on Yoshiki Inamura (13 minutes and 57 seconds)

MATCH 4
Takashi Sugiura & Masao Inoue vs Maybach Taniguchi & Cody Hall

Its not looking good for Takashi Sugiura and his team, once again he, Masao Inoue and Yoshiki Inamura, ended up being throttled by Taniguchi's Sasumata as Cody Hall loomed overhead.

WINNER: Maybach Taniguchi with the Maybach Bomb on Masao Inoue (10 minutes and 28 seconds)

MATCH 5
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs Katsuhiko Nakajima & Hi69

"There are many lariats in this world, but only one 50cm arm"
(Quiet Storm)

Nakajima and Quiet Storm got into a kick\chop match (at one point, Nakajima kicked him in the face).

WINNER: Quiet Storm with the 50cm lariat on Hi69 (11 minutes and 48 seconds)

MATCH 6
Kaito Kiyomiya, The Backbreakers (Hitoshi Kumano & Hajime Ohara) & Hiroshi Yamato vs Naomichi Marufuji, Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & YO-HEY

YO-HEY wore white (which is rare), and HAYATA came out to second, wearing a Yoshinari Ogawa t-shirt.

Naomichi Marufuji had his merciless face on (he used his "fed up" one for The Hooligans) and although he didn't attack his legs like he said he would, Marufuji (no doubt on advice from Yoshinari Ogawa, who is the master at attacking vulnerable body parts), decided to go after Kiyomiya's arm again today, which he had bandaged. Boku-Pro wrote you could hear Kiyomiya's moans throughout the hall.
Kiyomiya said he would not be defeated by it.

Marufuji, however, wasn't finished with Kiyomiya. Kiyomiya went to a fan event afterwards at Cafe grapple, and was photographed smiling with the group. Marufuji posted about it and added a smirking face at the end after saying ominously, "You smile, even after I have attacked your left arm. There will be more...more...."

Kotaro Suzuki might not have gotten his wish to wrestle his "older brother" Marufuji (honorific term used to denote in this case, a senior trainee of the same teacher, in this case, Mitsuharu Misawa), but he got to team with him at least. However, cracks appeared to be breaking in the team of himself and Ogawa, as they seemed to get into an argument at the start of the match, which got so heated their teammates had to hold them back (and even HAYATA got involved).
Marufuji looked like he was siding with Ogawa.

Hitoshi Kumano made Yoshinari Ogawa (the man who has an inner infrared sensor which guides him to wherever it is someone is hurting), tap when The Backbreakers had both Kotaro Suzuki and Ogawa in a double submission move.
This is huge for Kumano.

WINNER: Hitoshi Kumano with the Argentine Backbreaker on Yoshinari Ogawa (20 minutes and 9 seconds)

Attendance: 295
