(NOAH) Venue Guide: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium

About the venue
Otherwise known as: Yokohama Bunka Taiiku-kan (横浜文化体育館)
(Indoor sports arena, that opened in 1962)

Capacity: 5,000 (balcony and floor seating available)
Address: 27th Street, Yeoucho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa
Transport: 5 minutes on foot from Kannai Station (JR) or the Yokohama municipial subway stop, Isezaki Chojamachi Station.

Noah usually hold their bigger shows here about twice a year, traditionally in the spring (normally March or April), and also again usually near to the end of the year. The shows are usually called "Great Voyage in Yokohama Vol.1" and "Great Voyage in Yokohama Vol.2"

Tips for visiting
The venue has a reputation for being notoriously cold, if you are visiting in the spring, winter or late autumn months, bring something warm to wear (especially in the winter when temperatures can drop below zero). Being a port city and therefore close to the sea, always plan for unpredictable weather.
Some parts of the venue do not have good WiFi signal.

You might want to check out the PW Dojo  (especially if you want to meet up with other fans, as the venue is a traditional meeting place, or see an ikonik bar, after the show you may get lucky and bump into some of the wrestlers)  at 1-341 Bay City Mutsukawa 1st floor, Rokutsu River, Minami Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, which is an "Izakaya" (Japanese bar or pub).
The theme of the establishment is basically a dojo\wrestling ring - where you can drink Giant Baba beer as you sit at "ringside", there is also a cocktail named after Mitsuharu Misawa. There is no actual wrestling show going on I am afraid as the venue is only lined with ring ropes. Please note the venue is non smoking, and there is no English language menu available.
