(NOAH) Event Recap ~ Global Tag League Night One (Saturday, April 6th, 2019)

With it being the start of Global Tag League 2019, the winners trophies were placed in the lobby next to the empty scoreboard, and later were moved to the ring for the presentation of teams. This display will be enacted in all venues throughout the league.
Last years winners (the team GoKai, who were Go Shiozaki and Kaito Kiyomiya) are now this years rivals.

There was a change of card due to Kinya Okada suffering a nasty concussion during training, and NOSAWA RONGAI was drafted in as his replacement.
Okada was still in the venue though, although he was said to not be looking well at all. His concussion has kept him off the card of Noah's shows in Sapporo, but he was on hand to move things about.

Noah had a new trainee at ringside today. I believe that there is (or was) two other boys in the dojo also.

Local nut, Atsushi Kotoge, (who was making his return from injury tonight), was on autograph duty.

Samurai TV will broadcast the show at 10pm JST on April 14th.

MATCH ONE
THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura) & NOSAWA RONGAI vs The Backbreakers (Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano) & Junta Miyawaki

NOSAWA immediately started causing trouble with both teams, especially his partners, by doing no work in the ring and then tagging out the moment he immediately got in. His antics were not appreciated by them, and he was thrown out of the ring.
However, Masa Kitamiya and Yoshiki Inamura ("THE TOUGH") worked well together.

WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the Side Suplex on Hajime Ohara (8 minutes and 43 seconds)

MATCH TWO
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2019
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs The Return of The Dark Agents (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue)

The Dark Agents were said to work well together (I don't think Saito screwed Inoue over and denied it with Inoue half falling for it)

WINNER: Mohammed Yone with the Funky Buster Bomb on Masao Inoue (13 minutes and 53 seconds)

MATCH THREE
AXIZ (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki) vs Naomichi Marufuji & Hi69

Naturally, Naomichi Marufuji and Go Shiozaki got into a gunshot chop battle, in a match that one fan described as "a card I want to see again".
AXIZ were described as "preying" on Hi69 (who got his fair of the chops also).

WINNER: Go Shiozaki with the lariat on Hi69 (15 minutes and 37 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
"25 minutes of amusement"
Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & YO-HEY) vs RATELS (Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke & HAYATA)

YO-HEY (whose colorful hair today was described by one fan as "strawberry blue Hawaiian grape color today") decided to taunt Daisuke Harada with, "Original boss!! Come on!!".

WINNER: YO-HEY with the Super Face G on HAYATA (24 minutes and 53 seconds)

After the match Yoshinari Ogawa extended his hand to his mortal enemy, Daisuke Harada, and Harada shook it...
No one quite knows what this means, but it will be interesting to find out.

MATCH FIVE
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2019
The Inferno (Maybach Tanigichi & Yuji Hino) vs Takashi Sugiura & KAZMA SAKAMOTO

In a match that was described as a "power struggle", Yuji Hino wound up his opponents by doing his usual stance when being attacked in some form (he did it to Nakajima who kicked him once) with his hands behind his back, this time as Sugiura attacked him with elbows.

KAZMA'S concerns had been right, as had Maybach's threat to "fuck him up" during Global Tag League was no joke, when Taniguchi bought the Sasumata he had bought to the ring with him and used it against him.
Taniguchi appears to have become somewhat more vocal recently.

WINNER: Maybach Taniguchi with the Maybach Press on KAZMA SAKAMOTO (17 minutes and 52 seconds)

MATCH SIX
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2019
Kaioh (Kenoh and Kaito Kiyomiya) vs The Revoultionary Cloak Army (Atsushi Kotoge & Mitsuya Nagai)

Naturally, Atsushi Kotoge was hyper-hyper-mega-hyper, and Kaito Kiyomiya has dyed his hair blonde and styled it similar to Kenoh's.

Mitsuya Nagai bought the chain out, much to Atsushi Kotoge's horror, and against his instructions (later Nagai told Kotoge to use it, Kotoge said that such things were forbidden for a "Revolutionary Hero" as there were young children in the crowd who it would be "bad for their education").
Each time Nagai went to attack with a weapon, Kotoge put the cape on him, however...it often had no effect.

Kenoh did the "Revolutionary Fist" pose, and Kotoge thought he was joining in!

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Atsushi Kotoge (18 minutes and 4 seconds)

After the match Kaioh spoke of their love of Osaka, and how in September Noah would return to the 1st Stadium. Now this ambition is Daisuke Harada's baby, and this is something he has often spoken about, I would expect that this will form a part of the growing conflict between the junior and the heavyweight wrestlers, especially as Harada, who is kind if Marufuji's equivalent in the juniors, seems to be the one who will lead the charge.
