(NOAH) Event recap ~ Global Tag League Night Three (Saturday, April 13th 2019, Mars Gym, Sapporo)

"It was more fun and intense than I imagined"

In what seems to have become an annual once a year thing, Noah and Big Japan run the Sapporo Mars Gym over one weekend in April together; Noah in the afternoon, and Big Japan in the evening, with Noah using Big Japan's ring.
Then they usually get drunk together.
Later Yoshiki Inamura would appear at their event, while others in Noah (excluding Quiet Storm), went off to a Fan Event with an all you can eat buffet and drinks.

I am afraid this is one of those times when I don't really have too much information, so in some cases I am only able to write down results.

Naomichi Marufuji was on autograph duty today.

MATCH ONE
Maybach Taniguchi vs NOSWA Rongai

This was never going to last long

WINNER: Maybach Taniguchi with the Maybach Press (6 minutes and 25 seconds)

MATCH TWO
RATELS (Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke & HAYATA) vs The Backbreakers (Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano) & Junta Miyawaki

WINNER: Daisuke Harada with the Katayama German Suplex on Junta Miyawaki (13 minutes and 56 seconds)

MATCH THREE
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE
Takashi Sugiura & KAZMA SAKAMOTO vs THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)

"It was a tough match!
Inamura and Kitamiya are tough guys.
But Takashi Sugiura is tougher than two people"
(KAZMA SAKAMOTO)

WINNER: Takashi Sugiura with the Olympic Slam on Yoshiki Inamura (16 minutes and 30 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
Naomichi Marufuji & YO-HEY vs Akitoshi Saito & Noriyuki Yoshida

Noriyuji Yoshida trained in Noah in 2004, but due to injury he did not debut until 2006. He left the promotion in 2009, and has been working freelance ever since and he has been appearing in Noah's Sapporo weekends since last year.
This was his first match with Naomichi Marufuji (he said his chops hurt).

Said to be a "fun and interesting card"

WINNER: Naomichi Marufuji with the Shiranui on Noriyuko Yoshida (16 minutes)

MATCH FIVE
Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki) vs Hi69 & Minoru Tanaka

Barefoot YO-HEY came out to second.

After the match, Minoru Tanaka reflected that the GHC Junior Heavyweight was being held by a freelancer, and challenged for by another freelancer, and wondered what the the Noah juniors thought of it.
Well, he might be a freelancer now, BUT, Kotaro Suzuki is Noah born, and that still makes him one of the home team.

WINNER: Kotaro Suzuki with the Tiger Driver on Minoru Tanaka (12 minutes and 5 seconds)

MATCH SIX
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE
AXIZ (Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima) vs The Revolutionary Cloak Army (Atsushi Kotoge & Mitsuya Nagai)

Much to Atsushi Kotoge's continuing horror, Mitsuya Nagai used the chain on Katsujiko Nakajima. Nagai says if he is going to have to wear a cloak, then he will use the chain...he also wants Kotoge to use it.

After the match, AXIZ posed with their belts as a fallen Kotoge lay at their feet after being kicked in the head by Nakajima and taking the vertical spike.

WINNER: Katsuhiko Nakajima with the Vertical Spike on Atsushi Kotoge (19 minutes and 17 seconds)

MATCH SEVEN
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE
Kaioh (Kenoh & Kaito Kiyomiya) vs 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm)

During the match Quiet Storm sustained a concussion due to Kenoh kicking him in the head. He was noted to be dazed, but couldn't shake it off, and as a result has been removed from the card on Sunday. He did not attend the "Fan Meeting" that evening.
As per the Global Tag League rules, 50 Funky Powers will lose a point with the team they were meant to face, The Revolutionary Cloak Heroes, get 2 for a default win.

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Driver on Quiet Storm (14 minutes and 42 seconds)

After the match Kaito Kiyomiya gave a speech, and Kenoh started shrieking about AXIZ.
It should be noted that the rivalry between the two is always simmering, and that it has been Kiyomiya that has gotten all the wins so far in their team...something that Kenoh is bound to remember at some point.
