(NOAH) Event recap ~ Global Tag League Night Six (Sunday, April 21st 2019, Mandaijima Multipurpose, Niigata)

This is the first time Noah had run this venue, and it was a great success with 865 people in attendance.
According to senior referee, Shu Nishinaga, it had formerly been a fish market. Fans went away saying how much they enjoyed the event.

The venue was light and airy with big glass panels and doors, the spring evening sunlight coming in made the winners trophies looked picturesque with the Shinano River in the background.

There was an atmosphere of excitement in the venue which carried over to social media from what pictures were available, but I am afraid that I don't have too much info on today's show.

Kinya Okada and Quiet Storm are both missing due to concussions.
Naomichi Marufuji was on autograph duty.

MATCH ONE
Mohammed Yone vs Hajime Ohara vs Seiya Morohashi

Said to be a unique match, with Ohara being "cool" and "the best".
Good opening match and a boost to the event.

WINNER: Mohammed Yone with the Kinniku Meat Buster on Seiya Morohashi (9 minutes and 12 seconds)

MATCH TWO
THE TOUGH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura) vs Atsushi Kotoge & Junta Miyawaki

"Masa is strong, after Sugiura, he is the symbol of strength"

Atsushi Kotoge and Yoshiki Inamura did the "Revolutionary Fist Pose" (I think Inamura was probably being a little sarcastic)
Junta Miyawaki's martial arts training noted to be starting to come into effect, however, his shoulder tackle caused some concern especially as he seemed to be in pain when leaving the ring (and was leaning on Kotoge).

WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the side suplex on Junta Miyawaki (12 minutes and 21 seconds)

MATCH THREE
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2019
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura & KAZMA SAKAMOTO) vs The Return of The Dark Agents (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue)

WINNER: Takashi Sugiura with the pin on Masao Inoue (11 minutes and 28 seconds - I think he might have given him a massive slap for the win)

MATCH FOUR
Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & YO-HEY) vs Naomichi Marufuji & RATELS (Tadasuke & HAYATA)

"The Shinano Riverside Match"

Yesterday, Marufuji said he wondered if he should join in with Tadasuke's fist pose. Delighted, Tadasuke urged him to as it would be a rare thing, and Marufuji said he would think about it.
He did it.

The match went through the doors to the marina outside. Fortunately no one fell in, although Marufuji later commented he had failed to throw anyone in (YO-HEY from the looks of things, which Tadasuke thought would have been very funny).
YO-HEY, however, said that the next time Noah come here he is going to bring with him a rubber ring and goggles...for Marufuji.

With Daisuke Harada being in a title match, there wasn't much progression on the storyline, but said to be a very good card.

WINNER: Double draw. I'm not too sure of the technicalities but it involved YO-HEY & HAYATA (19 minutes and 56 seconds)

MATCH FIVE
AXIZ (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki)vs Minoru Tanaka & Hi69

WINNER: Go Shiozaki with the lariat on Hi69 (15 minutes and 31 seconds)

MATCH SIX
IPW Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
Daisuke Harada vs Hitoshi Kumano

Intense match, which was likened to a Four Heavenly Kings title defense, which involved a nasty looking DDT on the ramp.

WINNER: Daisuke Harada with the Katayama German Suplex (17 minutes and 16 seconds)

MATCH SEVEN
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2019
KAIOH (Kaito Kiyomiya & Kenoh) vs The Inferno (Maybach Taniguchi & Yuji Hino)

Kiyomiya has called Niigata "a land of memories" as it was here he won a belt for the first time (GHC Heavyweight tag with, ironically, Go Shiozaki in 2018.)

Intense fight between Kenoh and Yuji Hino (Hino doing his hands behind his back thing as someone kicks him\chops him etc), The Inferno almost had it won until Kiyomiya changed the tide with a dropkick and got the win with the Tiger Suplex.
Kenoh is going to resent playing second fiddle soon.

Kiyomiya said there was never any question of defeat as Niigata was the place he first put on a belt (the GHC Heavyweight Tag).
Kenoh added that they will win the Tag League and return to Niigata

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Maybach Taniguchi (17 minutes and 35 seconds)
