This time with a sworn friend...
Noah's strong minded Go Shiozaki (37) has vowed on the 26th (April) to establish his first long term GHC tag reign.

Shiozaki is in the "Global Tag League" battle with Katsuhiko Nakajima (31), so far they at a tie at second place with 7 points.
This is the 6th time he has held the GHC Heavyweight tag belts, which alongside Naomichi Marufuji (39) is the most crowned on record. However, when compared to Marufuji, who has defended the belts 14 times, Shiozaki has only defended once. It is blunder that he should have failed four times in his first defense, however, in combination with Nakajima, he has achieved just that.

"I take that number seriously" Shiozaki laughs, "in the past I have been called a temporary or an occasional partner, but this time it is different. I am sure that I have found the best partner. I have no choice but to set up a long term regime, and bury the numbers of the past." Shiozaki has a special attachment to tag matches.

In the 2008 league, he returned from training in the US, showed his growth, and had a major partner in Akira Taue (57). Above all though, he served as the partner of Mitsuharu Misawa (June 13th 2009 = GHC Tag Match), and took the GHC Heavyweight title for the first time on the 14th.
In 2012, six and a half years ago, he held the GHC Heavyweight tag belts for the first time in October when partnering with Akitoshi Saito.

"I am neither above or below a generation (in AXIZ with Nakajima), and it has never been so good. The best is yet to come, but as champions, to win is our duty". He finished by saying that after proving the strongest, he wanted to chose the next challenger.

Takashi Sugiura (48) and KAZMA SAKAMOTO (36) are the board leader at 8 points, and they will have a confrontation in Yokohama on the 29th. In order to break the past of the short term champion, the powerful team will race at full power towards the championship match at Korakuen Hall on May 4th.
