(NOAH) Mini interview with 50 Funky Powers
YONE: Well, after all, if you want to be champion, the league is the best place to fight for it. We are getting fired up, even though we don't have the belt. It's amazingly easy to understand, win the league, there is another chance to be crowned champion. Storm and I will do our best in the league matches.
STORM: Yeah! We will win the tag league and challenge for the belts. Its currently the 49th generation of current champions* , next it will be the 50th. 50 Funky Powers the 50th champions.
*The belts are numbered by the current champions, for example when it comes to the GHC Heavyweight tag belts, Vader and Skorpio were the first holders with AXIZ being the 49th team to hold the belts.
Q: This will be the third time that 50 Funky Powers are competing in the league?
YONE: Yes. I am happy to think that you are thinking of "50 Funky Powers Tag Team", we have rolled the GHC tag twice, but we still have to grow. We will win the tag league title, and the "50th generation" can only be taken by 50 Funky Powers!
STORM: 50 x 50 baby!
Q: What is your impression of the team of Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue who you will face on the 6th April in Osaka?
YONE: There is an image of strength. Both of them are great veterans, and they will surprise you, they have a lot of tricks, but so do we. I want to focus on them without overestimating their power.
STORM: Both are great veterans. Last year (22nd November Sendai), I beat Saito in Global League. He is a wrestler who I cannot be unprepared for, so I will do my best.
Q: On the 13th April in Sapporo, you will face Kiyomiya and Kenoh, who you lost to on the 17th March in Hakata.
YONE: That's right. That match was the main event of the last Hakata Star Lane, it would have been beautifully perfect, but we lost. I will return it, and this time, we will not go so easily.
STORM: Yes. Next time will be our revenge. We will win!
Q: On the 21st March you will face AXIZ, who you lost the GHC tag to in February?
YONE: It's a great opportunity for revenge isn't it? We aim to win the league match of course, but we want to win by any means because then we can say that we have beat the champions, AXIZ, so we can say loudly that we have won.
STORM: I'm sorry I lost the title match. Next, I will not lose again. I will study them properly.
Q: Are you concerned about any other teams, who are you wary of?
YONE: None really, I think all teams have one or two strong traits, but in Noah, 50 Funky Powers has the longest tag history. This is our weapon which I would like to use to win the league.
STORM: The oldest team in this league is us. We will win by teamwork.
Q: Lastly, please give your enthusiasm
YONE: It is very important to focus on each fight as it comes, one battle one victory, we want our customers to enjoy our bright and fun wrestling.
