(NOAH) Event recap ~ Global Tag League Final Night (Saturday, May 4th 2019, Korakuen Hall, Tokyo)

"The intensity of the hall is transmitted only by seeing the tweets from Noah at Korakuen.
I do not have any dissatisfaction with my current status as a professional wrestling fan, but I envy fans of suburban Tokyo at such time"

"Pro Wrestling Noah showed us the best pro Wrestling today"

This was the best attendance that Noah have had since July 2015 with an overcrowded attendance of 1,650 people. After the event Takashi Sugiura thanked everyone for coming and said that it was the true victory of a wrestler to have such a great atmosphere for a match, the crowd could be said to be like coiled springs who were on their feet since the first match, and is it is "Golden Week" in Japan, a lot of fans bought their families with them. According to Noah's official photographer, Miyaki Wakako, the line to the elevator was immense.

Seiya Morohashi wasn't on today's card, but nonetheless he came to the event to not only second Hi69 & Minoru Tanaka, but also to help put up and take down the ring.

Noah announced that Chris Ridgeway (a British wrestler, who clashed with Kenoh at Frontline Wrestling's inaugural show, and with Daisuke Harada at the IPW Junior Heavyweight tournament), will be participating in Global Junior Tag League in May. On the same night, 28th May at Korakuen Hall, Jinsei Shinzaki (Kenoh's trainer) will also be appearing in a special match.

Kenoh was on autograph duty.

MATCH ONE
Hajime Ohara vs Hitoshi Kumano

Good opening match between former tag partners

WINNER: Hajime Ohara with the Mui Bien (6 minutes and 25 seconds)

After the match Hitoshi Kumano wrote a tweet with a very sad ending. In it he said that even if he had to crawl, he would work his way back up through the Noah juniors.
He finished the post with, "Goodbye Backbreakers".

MATCH TWO
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm), Mitsuya Nagai & Rocky Kawamura vs The Return of The Dark Agents (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue), Minoru Tanaka & Hi69.

"Masao and Rocky...there is a sense of MMA (laugh)"

Mitsuya Nagai shed the cape today, for the flashing disco glasses (I think he got a slightly warmer reception from Fifty Funky Powers this time)

Rocky Inamura says he wants "MASAO...One more time"

WINNER: Masao Inoue with the schoolboy on Rocky Inamura (9 minutes and 17 minutes)

MATCH THREE
Yoshiki Inamura vs Yuji Hino

"Inamura roaring"

The crowd were very much behind Yoshiki Inamura today.
There was a handshake after the match while Inamura was still flat on the canvas, however, Yuji Hino had been his usual sarcastic self who at one point during the match had laid in the ring and done leg lifts while waiting for Inamura to get in it.

WINNER: Yuji Hino with the FUCKING BOMB (31 minutes and 21 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
Naomichi Marufuji & Junta Miyawaki vs Hideki Suzuki & NOSAWA

At the start of the match when Hideki Suzki was standing in the corner, Miyawaki went right up to him and got in his face.
Suzuki just glared down at him (he's an old hand at dealing with upstart kids in Big Japan). Exciting and interesting match.

WINNER: Hideki Suzuki with the Double Arm Suplex on Junta Miyawaki (12 minutes and 53 seconds)

Hideki Suzuki knelt down by the fallen Miyawaki and got on the microphone saying that he wanted a match with Noah's strongest. He didn't even hand the microphone to Marufuji, just held it up to him\shoved it in his face, and Marufuji simply said, "yes".
However, Marufuji has later said that he would love to see Suzuki do another match, but with a different wrestler.

MATCH FIVE
Atsushi Kotoge & Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki) vs RATELS (Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke & HAYATA)

"Today's NOAH was great fun, but I miss YO-HEY-kun"

I think with YO-HEY being injured, what was meant to have happened in this match (whatever that may have been) didn't, and may now wait until either his return or after Global Junior Tag League, in any case, Daisuke Harada said he would be teaming with Tadasuke, which leaves the whole YO-HEY and HAYATA question up in the air. So nothing happened between the two teams in this match.

Tadasuke was manic today, as was Atsushi Kotoge (who as per Korakuen Hall protocol, stood on the stairwell during his entry and raised the Revolutionary Fist).

HAYATA was made to do the "Revolutionary Fist" pose when Kotoge had him on the ropes (poor YO-HEY, he said it hurts to laugh, and no doubt he was when he saw the picture)

WINNER: Tadasuke with the Lariat on Yoshinari Ogawa (16 minutes and 12 seconds)

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya & Maybach Taniguchi vs Kenoh & Masa Kitamiya.

"Today, I fell in love with Shuhei Taniguchi's coolness..."

Maybach Taniguchi promised fans a "reboot" at Fuji Messe on the 2nd May, and today he came out to a different theme, with a different look and using his old name, "Shuhei" Taniguchi. "Maybach" had been the name he had taken to using round about the time he joined KENTA'S "Brave" unit...

From the moment they were both in the ring, Kenoh and Kiyomiya made a beeline towards each other and butted heads. Kiyomiya, in an act which is unusual for him, attacked Kenoh before the bell went and even before the green and white streamers had been cleared away from the ring.
The fight also went outside, and into the crowd, with Kiyomiya getting hollow sounding kicks from Kenoh.

Taniguchi also debuted a new move today a kind of chicken wing camel clutch, which he got the win from Kitamiya with.

WINNER: Shuhei Taniguchi with the chicken wing camel clutch on Masa Kitamiya (18 minutes and 26 seconds)

"Kiyomiya! I am not your teacher! Company dog!" (Kenoh)

After the match, Kenoh got on the microphone and started ranting about being disinterested with the company (LIDET) and asked any wrestlers who felt the same to come out, Kitamiya came to join him as out came Yoshiki Inamura, and bizarrely, Atsushi Kotoge. Kenoh announced the name of a new unit "Kongoh" (it basically means "diamond", but one fan said that a better name might be "The Underdog Corps").
However, this has left a lot of fans wondering exactly what LIDET have done for Kenoh to feel dissatisfied with, and also what is going to happen with the "Revolutionary Cloak Heroes". It should be noted that Kotoge was also not wearing his cape...
In the case of Inamura, its more a case of he wants to continue teaming with Kitamiya.

After Kenoh had stormed off (after he and Kiyomiya had yelled at each other from the apron and floor), Kiyomiya saying at one point "Kenoh! WHO is the company dog!"
He then turned to Taniguchi and asked him what he thought, Taniguchi said, "lets do this together".
They then shook hands

Fans have said that Kiyomiya should not trust Taniguchi, as Taniguchi is notorious for betraying pretty much every partner he has ever had...but you could say the same for Kenoh.

MATCH SEVEN
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE FINAL
AXIZ (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki) vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura & KAZMA SAKAMOTO)

"The wall of Sugiura is still high"

In about two or three minutes of the match, Go Shiozaki's gunshot chops (which the audience screamed each time they happened as the noise was so intense), busted open Sugiura's chest.
Despite being AXIZ being the fan favorites, Sugiura is beloved by the crowd, and AXIZ found themselves being booed at times, especially when he was caught in the middle of their kick\chop attack.

Korakuen was in a total frenzy during the match, and there were many tears for the victory after a brutally fought match.

WINNER: Takashi Sugiura with the ankle lock on Katsuhiko Nakajima (27 minutes and 39 seconds)

Sugiura also said that he was standing at the top again, and would be going to be going for both belts....

"I am a company dog. Without Noah, I cannot wrestle to my ideal. Everyone would not gather. If that is the case then this dog will do it for Noah's advantage". (Takashi Sugiura)
