(NOAH) EVENT RECAP ~ Global Junior Tag League 2019, NIGHT FOUR (1st June, Osaka World Hall, Osaka)
Because the arena is small (from the outside it looks like a small cinema or a town house), the fans found the seats were very close to the ring, and there wasn't room for the barriers to be set up.
I am afraid that I wasn't able to get too much out today's show in terms of information, in some places I have only been able to give the match results, but the event itself has been described as "insanely fun".
Global Junior Tag League 2019
Stinger (Yoshinari Ogawa & Kotaro Suzuki) vs Junta Miyawaki & Seiya Morohashi.
Yoshinari Ogawa (naturally) tortured poor Junta Miyawaki, but it was Kotaro who got the win. The 21 year old rookie was no match for two Misawa era veterans, and they left without even raising their arms for the win.
WINNER: Kotaro Suzuki with the Blue Destiny on Junta Miyawaki (15 minutes and 33 seconds)
MATCH TWO
Naomichi Marufuji vs Masao Inoue
"World Pavilion is overflowing with Masao World".
Typical MASAO WORLD match, with the jumping spot which Inoue can never ever get right, and he asks his opponents to do it again, but not coming at him so high.
He never gets it right. Sugiura gives him a weary look, and then whoever his opponent is, attacks him out of frustration.
At one point in the match, Inoue screamed at Marufuji, "Stop, because it hurts!"
WINNER: Naomichi Marufuji with The Perfect Key Lock (12 minutes and 57 seconds)
When Inoue left the ring, Marufuji shook hands with him, and then sat on the ropes out of respect to let the bumbling old vet with gout out, and then immediately attacked him while he was still stepping over.
MATCH THREE
Global Junior Tag League
Minoru Tanaka & Hi69 vs Hitoshi Kumano & Chris Ridgeway
WINNER: Chris Ridgeway with the ankle lock submission on Hi69 (10 minutes and 21 seconds)
Kaito Kiyomiya, Shuhei Taniguchi & Akitoshi Saito vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hajime Ohara & NOSAWA Rongai)
"A great prelude to Sugiura vs Kiyomiya"
Kiyomiya got into the ring and squared up to Sugiura. Sugiura looked like he was going to eat him alive. At the end of the match there was a vicious fight outside of it between them (which was broken up by referees, rookies, Shuhei Taniguchi and Akitoshi Saito), apparently Sugiura was shouting something (but I have no idea what). Despite this, Sugiura said that he "did not feel the passion of the champion today".
Title match is next week.
WINNER: Shuhei Taniguchi with the modified camel clutch on NOSAWA Rongai (15 minutes and 20 seconds)
Axiz (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki) & 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya, Atsushi Kotoge & Yoshiki Inamura)
Not too much information on the match I am afraid, but it was described as a "non stop battle". The high kick which got the finish was said to be brutal. It has also been said that Kongoh all wearing red looks good, as there are not many teams in Noah which have a unified team color.
WINNER: Katsuhiki Nakajima with the high kick on Yoshiki Inamura (14 minutes and 50 seconds)
Global Junior Tag League
RATELS vs RATELS (Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke vs HAYATA & YO-HEY).
Due to Stinger attacking HAYATA & YO-HEY at Korakuen Hall, fans have bought the streamers they have made to welcome YO-HEY back at Korakuen, to Osaka today BUT I don't think they got to use them as HAYATA & YO-HEY attacked Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke as soon as they did Tadasuke's entry and pulled them off the turnbuckles. Fight also went to the outside.
WINNER: Tadasuke with the 2PAC on HAYATA (17 minutes, 18 seconds)
ATTENDANCE: 241 (Very full)
