(NOAH) Naomichi Marufuji's comic strip

This comic strip was drawn by Naomichi Marufuji for "Weekly Pro" in the summer of 2019, and is basically a condensed edition of his biography, "Heir To The Ark".

The story starts with young Naomichi Marufuji’s childhood years growing up in Saitama, with three older brothers, and like all boys like to do, they wrestle. In “Heir to The Ark” Marufuji describes these occasions as only being done when their parents were out as they weren’t allowed to do it when they were at home, his eldest brother rarely joined in, but the two middle brothers (twins) used to lay into each other. Being the youngest and the smallest, he says it was very hard on him…
The boys are deciding who they want to be

Older brother 1: Mutoh!
Older brother2: Chono!

Marufuji climbs into the closet as one of his older brother’s taunts him with, “I feel sorry for you, shrimpy!”
The smiles are soon wiped off of their faces as screaming, “However, Tiger Mask is strong!” – he hits them with a flying kick from the shelf.
Naturally, the brothers react with alarm.

“I had older brothers, and one day one of them bought home “Shuri Pro”, and on the cover that day were “The Road Warriors”, who fascinated Puroresu Fans. I dreamed of becoming a wrestler”.

The older Marufuji reflects on his childhood thoughts of Mitsuharu Misawa (who was Tiger Mask when Marufuji was growing up), and basically says that he wants to be a wrestler just like him, but he plays at wrestling in his spare time. His love of pro-wrestling was awakened.

One day, he is getting the futon out of the closet again to fight his older brothers on, when one of them appears and says “Nao! We are going to be The Three Musketeers!”
Marufuji (ever stubborn) refuses and says, “I am not going to do it! I am going to be Tiger Mask!”
