Pro Wrestling Noah's single league tournament "N-1 VICTORY", will start from August 18th in Nagoya. The league will be a round robin of five people each in two blocks, A & B. In Osaka on September 16th, the people coming first place in block blocks will compete for victory. The participants and blocks are as follows:

A BLOCK
Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura, Go Shiozaki, Masa Kitamiya, Alex Hammerstone

B BLOCK
Katsuhiko Nakajima, Shuhei Taniguchi, Kenoh, Naomichi Marufuji, El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jnr

There are many notable cards for a single round robin, but what is particularly promising is Marufuji vs Sugiura at the 7th September Yokohama event as both are first class veterans who have supported Noah for a long time. I am glad to see the fight between them at a small venue like Radiant Halls (that is, up close).

I am looking forward to the battle between Shiozaki, Marufuji, Sugiura and others who have an atmosphere of being on the brink of "awakening", starting with the Hideki Suzuki match in July.
As for B Block, the crushing of stars is inevitable. Above all, Taniguchi's explosion after changing his ring name to his real name is worth watching. Nakajima is the most prominent person who can be said to be at the highest peak of the use of kicks in professional wrestling. Many puro fans can give affirmation to this.

However, the non participation of Kaito Kiyomiya, the current GHC Heavyweight Champion, is controversial. The 23 year old champion, who has led Noah into the new system since taking the title, is looking forward to Sumo Hall on November 2nd. "I want to increase the value of the belt. To that end, I will fight with the N-1 winner in Sumo Hall", says Kiyomiya.
Regardless of the outcome of the league, Kiyomiya's aim is to "confirm" the title match at the biggest event of the year as soon as possible.
But of course there will be wrestlers and fans who are in opposition. If N-1 is regarded as the decider of who is the strongest in the promotion, it will not be possible without the champion, it makes it "just a number one contenders match".
However, to the promotion who has established the championship, the "strongest" is the single champion, and the strongest match is against the champion. Of course, the meaning of league matches and tournaments does vary from promotion to promotion, and of course even if the league is
exciting, it doesn't make sense if the presence of the champion is weakened.

On August 16th in Kasukabe just before the opening night, "the special N-1 six person tag match" was held between Marufuji, Sugiura & Shiozaki vs Nakajima, Taniguchi & Kenoh.
Block A vs Block B face to face, was not only a fight against the opposition team, but it was also a situation where the partners have to check each other. Although it was a complex match, it was a hot battle where each athlete was able to bring out their own unique characteristics.
In the end, Taniguchi discarded both allies and enemies, took the give up from Sugiura, and declared victory in the ring.

The battle between Shiozaki and Nakajima, who hold the tag titles, was also a tremendous force, and it can be said that it was a fight that raised expectations for N-1.
Meanwhile, Kiyomiya teamed up with Junta Miyawaki to fight Masa Kitamiya and Yoshiki Inamura, and Kitamiya took the three counts from Kitamiya. Kitamiya, who has entered the N-1, is aware of the victory and has provoked Kiyomiya ahead of the victory and warned "do your best not to lose your presence during the league".

According to Kitamiya's words, Kiyomiya is a marked man during the league, and the opponents should try to erase the champions presence during the league.

It is important to see how Kiyomiya will fight during the N-1 period when the attention to the card continues.
The composition of "N-1 vs Kiyomiya" cannot be overlooked during the fight for victory at the same time of the league.
