(NOAH) EVENT RECAP ~ N-1 VICTORY, NIGHT 8 (Tsukuba Capio, 6th September 2019)

After their long tour in Japan's warm south, Noah started the final few dates of the inaugural N-1 VICTORY in Tsukuba, Ibaraki (which is only an hour and a half to and from Tokyo, so a lot of them traveled via public transport or in a shared car) which is the metropolitan area of Japan, the area (Yokohama, Fukushima, Tokyo) which will host the final few nights.

The card today was changed as Chris Ridgeway has fallen ill, and so Tadasuke stepped out of RATELS and into the opening match. Daisuke Harada commented that they were a man down, but it was still RATELS vs STINGER.

I am afraid that I don't have much information on some of today's event, so it is a little scattered in some places I have only been able to give a retrospective comment, in other something which happened after the match, and while in other matches just the result.

MATCH ONE
Tadasuke vs Kinya Okada

Tadasuke commented about this match (although it was an easy win for him), that it was refreshing to face someone else after so long fighting STINGER.

WINNER: Tadasuke with the lariat (7 minutes, 39 seconds)

Tadasuke took out a rookie heavyweight with his lariat which should give you an indication of how strong he is; a rookie yes, but this is still a heavyweight he took down with it.

MATCH TWO
The Return of The Dark Agents (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue) vs THE TOUGH\KONGOH (Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)

The Tough took down Masao Inoue by attacking his old gouty legs, then Masa Kitamiya put him in the Prison Lock.

WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the Prison Lock (10 minutes, 59 seconds)

MATCH THREE
Minoru Tanaka & Junta Miyawaki vs Hi69 & Sonico

Fans commented on Sonico's t-shirt as it matched his mask and red contact lensed eyes, and when he pulled it over his head it briefly matched his mask. There also appears to be a rivalry developing with Junta Miyawaki.

WINNER: Minoru Tanaka with the Arm Criss-Cross on Sonico (10 minutes, 36 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Kotoge) vs RATELS (HAYATA, Daisuke Harada & YO-HEY)

WINNER: HAYATA with the Cross Fix on Atsushi Kotoge (14 minutes, 9 seconds)

After the match, YO-HEY got into the ring holding both the IPW Junior Heavyweight (Daisuke Harada's belt) and the GHC Junior Heavyweight (HAYATA'S). Harada gave him his "shark smells blood" look, which YO-HEY knew meant he had to give it to him or else Harada would hurt him, but HAYATA is a different story and after wearing it over his shoulder (and doing the usual messing around by handing it him and then withdrawing it), YO-HEY finally handed it back.

They will have their match signing on the 15th September.

MATCH FIVE
Kaito Kiyomiya, Shuhei Taniguchi & Alex Hammerstone vs Naomichi Marufuji & 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm)

At the start of the match Alex Hammerstone and Naomichi Marufuji (who is taped on his shoulder and back), squared up to each other.
Outside the ring, when Marufuji faced off with Shuhei Taniguchi, Taniguchi stretched out his arms and made a "T". Fans are not quite sure what this means, either it is a "T" for Taniguchi OR its the pose he has chosen for his new nickname "The Last Wyvern" (a Wyvern being a dragon that stands on two legs).
Marufuji kind of stared like he couldn't really work out what just what Taniguchi was doing, while referee Nishinaga was heard to ask "What's wrong?".

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Quiet Storm (14 minutes, 22 seconds)

MATCH SIX
Kumaxis (Katsuhiko Nakajima, Go Shiozaki & Hitoshi Kumano) vs The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Hajme Ohara)

Go Shiozaki laid into Takashi Sugiura before their highly anticipated match in the closing stages of N-1 VICTORY on the 9th September at Korakuen). The chops that Shiozaki threw today were said to be louder and harder than usual.

WINNER: Go Shiozaki with the Gowan Lariat on Hajime Ohara (19 minutes)

MATCH SEVEN
N-1 VICTORY
Kenoh vs El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jnr

I think that El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jnr tried to moonsault on to Kenoh three times, but none of them worked (I think he either drew his knees up or rolled out of the way). The match itself was pretty spectacular apparently, and Kenoh more than held his own against someone who both outsized and outweighed him, and who isn't the same style as him. Kenoh had posted on Twitter previously that losing was not an option.

WINNER: Kenoh with the diving footstamp (14 minutes, 2 seconds)

Afterwards Kenoh started screaming into the microphone, I am afraid I don't know what he said.
