(NOAH) Post match interviews ~ "NOAH the SPIRIT 2019" Night 1 (Espowar Isanuma, Saitama, September 21st 2019)

TAKASHI SUGIURA

(Please note the "All-Japan" mentioned here is not AJPW, it refers to the National Athletic Meet)

Q: You have decided to tag with Kazuyuki Fujita?
SUGIURA: He has entered The Sugiura Army, hasn't he? Supporter? There is no surprise, I thought that this would happen at some point. Then there is Taniguchi. Myself, Fujita and Taniguchi. What was he doing? In Osaka there was Mutoh, Akiyama and Kaito in the semi-finals, and they stood out in an awesome unit. Did he not shine with Fujita and myself? Do you understand? If he can shine in the centre, there is still hope that he can rise as a professional wrestler.
Q: Fujita was born in 1970, and is a former All Japan wrestling champion?
SUGIURA: Just at the time when I was aiming for the Atlanta Olympics. I was Greco 82 kilos, he was 100 kilos free. We were in the National Training Camp and both representing Japan, and we participated together in the same year. At the end of the day, I'm happy to be his classmate. It's like "lets go to the Olympics", that was the call when I started at the training camp, and then its "lets wrestle". I talked to Fujita face to face first, and we took it from there. So, getting back to Osaka it was the first time we had met for a few years, and Fujita told me, "I'll do it." I did it once...back in 1995. 24 years ago. I remember, "it's just like the dojo". In that sense I am nostalgic, but its pro-wrestling now. I am looking forward to what will be born of this.
Q: Taniguchi, on the other hand, is a fierce man who has won the National Athletic Meet 3 times.
SUGIURA: Taniguchi is not a fierce man. There is a difference between All-Japan champions, and National Champions, and the All-Japan champions and those who went to the Olympics are different, and that is why he has do something like he did in Osaka. There is no such appealing card. When you come to wrestle, you come to impress, and it is overwhelming. It ’s all up to Taniguchi to see what happens in this match.

RATELS (YO-HEY, TADASUKE & DAISUKE HARADA)

YO-HEY: Well, today was Espo...Espon...Espowan....
HARADA: Same! (Leaves)
YO-HEY: In other words, it was HAYATA short hair and strong HAYATA, who I fought with for the title in Osaka, but it was not good. With a loss of social standing, I said "let me try again", and HAYATA said unexpectedly, "Next is....Sumo Hall". I am grateful for the OK, but what is it? I think there are various complaints to this honest story, "Why do you want to lose in revenge porn again?". I think Boss and Tadasuke have something to say to me, and because it has been arranged, it is natural for me to pick up the belt. As I am burdened by the critical voices from the fans and the other Noah juniors, I would like to make the fucking guy with influenza a B-type influenza on the Sumo Hall stage.
TADASUKE: Well, I don't know what is going to happen with the junior tag at Yamanashi. Maybe it will be Ogawa & Kotaro, or perhaps The Sugiura Army may take it. Well, whoever it is, we will definitely take it. Is this the fourth time? Honestly, its the 4th. RATELS will raise Noah again! YO-HEY?!
YO-HEY: Haha! Yes! It took me by surprise! Ah! Hello! (Walks off pretending to talk on his phone)

STINGER (KOTARO SUZUKI & ATSUSHI KOTOGE)

SUZUKI: Well today, I won with Kotoge's great help, and because he was focused, it was amazing!
KOTOGE: Well (laughs), there is a sense of stability now, and the junior tag will be defended.
SUZUKI: How can that team (NOSAWA & Hajime Ohara) imagine beating myself and Ogawa? Speaking of which, the chance to win is finding a point, so where is that for that team?
Q: There is a likelihood that you should be careful of the tactician...
SUZUKI: Huh? They were out of luck today, we won. But, we want to be the baby faces!?
KOTOGE: Yes. The opponents are no longer RATELS.
SUZUKI: Then we are the baby faces. I want that to be said...

KAITO KIYOMIYA

Q: The pre-match has started?
KIYOMIYA: There is no time for Sumo Hall, customer intensity is rising, and it feels like war between myself and Kenoh. In order to have a historic match with him, and from today I will fly from the first pre-match with full power.
Q: There is more than a month to go, but will it be a challenge as a champion to raise expectations?
KIYOMIYA: Today I did a new technique...or rather, I did a little plus-alpha technique, but even if it was only a month I still have many movements and techniques that I have been trying to preserve until N-1. The finish today combined Misawa's face lock, and Kawada's stretch plum. No one else has ever done it, and I thought it would be intense to try, and I got that chance today. I would like to use it from now on. I think the technique is a strong one. I didn't enter the N-1, and so there was time to think about things by not appearing in it. I wonder if there is another new special technique...
