Event recap ~ Premium Prelude, Act City, Hamamatsu, (Final Night! 22nd October 2019)
"Pro-Wrestling Noah, Act City, Hamamatsu. It had a shocking ending..."
Naomichi Marufuji was absent again today (he will not be back until Sumo Hall on November 2nd). Sonico sadly will not be able to compete at Sumo Hall (or for perhaps the next four weeks or so), but he will stay with Noah until his time with them finishes.
Today's event will be the last before Sumo Hall on November 2nd, the last of the pre-matches before the title defenses (as all the titles are on the line), and interestingly, Kaito Kiyomiya was seen doing neck exercises in the ring. Remember this fact.
Kiyomiya was not the only one exercising, RATELS were holding another of Daisuke Harada's Boot Camps.
Noah ran a small raffle, and Go Shiozaki bought an N-1 VICTORY t-shirt to sign and give away. Unfortunately, he had to use his trusty lint roller beforehand as he has six cats, and their fur gets everywhere (tag partner Katsuhiko Nakajima is luckier, he keeps Goldfish which he calls "my children", you would think Piranha would be more suitable.).
MATCH ONE
Junta Miyawaki vs Seiya Morohashi
Seiya Morohashi went to shake hands with his young protegee today, but Miyawaki, not in the mood, rebuffed him. Although Miyawaki fought like a man possessed, he could not hold out against the older veteran, and submitted.
Very sadly, he has not got his wish to get a win in a singles match over one of his seniors before Sumo Hall.
WINNER: Seiya Morohashi with the Crippler Crossface (9 minutes, 3 seconds)
MATCH TWO
Hi69 & Minoru Tanaka vs The Sugiura Army (NOSAWA Rongai & Kinya Okada)
NOSAWA was up to his usual antics, and offered Minoru Tanaka a handshake.
Minoru Tanaka knew better than to take it, and he kicked him (NOSAWA was not the only one who got kicked, poor Kinya Okada got a nasty one too which echoed around the hall), and after that NOSAWA tried to avoid Tanaka as much as he could.
WINNER: Hi69 with the Stuka Splash on Kinya Okada (10 minutes, 48 seconds)
MATCH THREE
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs The Return of The Dark Agents (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue)
Masao Inoue bit Mohammed Yone during Yone's jaw lock
WINNER: Mohammed Yone with The Funky Buster Bomb on Masao Inoue (10 minutes, 37 seconds)
The highlight of this match very much came after it. There was a fan in the arena who loved to dance, and so in his usual way Akitoshi Saito forced Inoue to dance!
Mohammed Yone apparently also danced at some point.
MATCH FOUR
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Hajime Ohara) vs Shuhei Taniguchi, Shiro Koshinaka & Hitoshi Kumano
Strong Hitoshi Kumano was determined to lift Takashi Sugiura today (he has done it before, and its kind of a test of strength in Noah to see who can lift Sugiura, and for how long for), but it took him a few attempts.
The fight between Shiro Koshinaka and Sugiura went into the crowd at some point.
WINNER: Shuhei Taniguchi with the Wyvern Catch submission on KAZMA SAKAMOTO (13 minutes, 28 seconds)
MATCH FIVE
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki, Atsushi Kotoge & Chris Ridgeway) vs RATELS (HAYATA, Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke & YO-HEY)
If you had to pick one member of RATELS that Yoshinari Ogawa hates more than anyone else, then it would be Daisuke Harada, as the moment he stepped into the ring, Ogawa was provoking him, and the bell had not even rung.
Amazing match with a Tadasuke moonsault (he also wound Atsushi Kotoge up by sarcastically holding the ropes open for him after Kotoge had been knocked outside the ring), Chris Ridgeway imitating YO-HEY and then beating up HAYATA, Ogawa beaten down by RATELS, and both teams laying into each other so much that with three minutes remaining, everyone was knocked down either on the mat or outside the ring.
WINNER: Neither, match went to time limit draw (30 minutes) with Kotaro Suzuki and Daisuke Harada as the legal men
After the eight man stand off (in which Harada had his shark smells blood face on, and Tadasuke would not have looked out of place in "The Exorcist"), YO-HEY wound up HAYATA by kissing the GHC Junior Heavyweight belt, HAYATA turned around and noticed, and then Daisuke Harada noticed, and just watched as HAYATA took the belt back, scolding YO-HEY.
On his way to the ring, a photograph was captured of the small hand of a little child reaching over the barriers, which was shaken by a passing Kaito Kiyomiya's. However, this match was going to have a shocking end for all, and one that is making fans wonder what is going to happen on November 2nd.
Kaito Kiyomiya was to have another epic photograph taken, this time while squaring up to Kenoh. Katsuhiko Nakajima and Masa Kitamiya tore into each other, and while Kenoh\Kiyomiya and the boys from The Kensuke Office are all feuding, this leaves Inamura facing Shiozaki.
Yoshiki Inamura was the legal man and Kaito Kiyomiya went for the Tiger Suplex. However, Kenoh struck with the diving footstamp. Referee Shu Nishinaga immediately stopped the match when Kiyomiya didn't move.
WINNER: Yoshiki Inamura via referee stop after Kenoh's diving footstamp (19 minutes, 54 seconds)
Despite the seconds rushing to the ring, Kenoh called for the microphone and held it over Kiyomiya's head. However, Kiyomiya did not respond.
Kenoh smiled and said, "Hey! GHC Heavyweight Champion, Kaito Kiyomiya! "I am going to change Noah? I am going to create a new scenery?" Hey! How can you say that you are the GHC Heavyweight Champion, when you have just been defeated by a rookie in the first year of his debut! I say this time and time again, are you sure? Did you anticipate carrying this burden? It is the company...no, it is the anticipation of the the parent company LIDET ENTERTAINMENT, it's hard to be honest, right? Do you want to live the life of a wrestler who does not have any worries? Okay, Kiyomiya!! November 2nd at Sumo Hall, along with the GHC Heavyweight Championship, I will take away your belt and your burden."
Then Kenoh addressed the crowd and said, "It looks like I am having a "heart to heart" today, but Hanamatsu assholes, the next time I come back I will be the champion and these guys (THE TOUGH) will be champions too! We will make Noah's ring shine like a diamond, because will we return to this ring with a happy ending. I will lead Noah in the future! From now on, Kongoh will make Noah shine like a diamond!"
After this, Kenoh posed, and Kiyomiya was stretchered out of the arena.
Fans are naturally concerned for Kiyomiya's condition, but anyone who knows anything about serious injuries in a wrestling ring knows that when a serious injury occurs then everything stops. There are no promos, there are no camera poses, the priority for everyone is to get said person to safety and treated medically, not leaving them lying in the ring with the championship belt draped over them with their rival cutting a promo. Taking all of the above into account, and the fact that no ambulance was called or was heard arriving, it is likely the event was part of the storyline, and neither Kenoh nor Kiyomiya have commented, with only other wrestlers touching on the incident (AXIZ mainly) and asking how Kiyomiya is.
It remains to be seen what Noah are going to do next at Sumo Hall.
