(NOAH) EVENT RECAP ~ Aomori City Hamanasu Kaikan ~ 12th December 2019 ("STARTING OVER 2019")
A snowstorm hit Aomori City today which started off as a shower of snow and ice when the crew carried the equipment into the building, and by the end of the event was the snow was covering everything in a thick blanket (Quiet Storm said he was looking forward to drinking hot chocolate). As it was very cold, Noah were advising the fans to wrap up warm when they came to the show today, and as shoes were not allowed in the main hall, I pity anyone who came without indoor slippers. The veterans wrapped themselves up against the cold, as did El Hijo de Canis Lupus, however his nineteen year old brother didn't seem to mind as he appeared at the Noah's Ark Fan club pictures in a tank top, touchingly fans have been making efforts to speak to them in Spanish.
It might have been cold outside, but the venue was vibrant.
As today was the last day of tour, you can imagine how tired the roster were looking after seven nights in a row with only one day off in between, it's no wonder pretty much everyone was remarking that today was the last day today. Tomorrow its a ten hour bus ride back down to Tokyo, and then home for a week for most of them. Noah now have only three dates remaining - two of them are produce shows, Kongoh on the 14th December, and The Sugiura Army at Korakuen on the 27th. Noah's last show of the year will be on the 22nd.
MATCH ONE
YO-HEY vs Hitoshi Kumano
Interesting clash of styles, and clash of hair colors too with YO-HEY'S peppermint green, and Kumano's purple.
WINNER: Time out draw at fifteen minutes
MATCH TWO
Dragon Bane vs El Hijo de Canis Lupus
WINNER: Dragon Bane with the Crab Special (14 minutes)
MATCH THREE
Naomichi Marufuji & Minoru Tanaka vs Hi69 & Junta Miyawaki
WINNER: Minoru Tanaka with the Minoru Special on Junta Miyawaki (12 minutes, 44 seconds)
MATCH FOUR
RATELS (HAYATA, Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke) vs STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Kotoge)
HAYATA, after seven days of being tortured, finally got his revenge....
WINNER: HAYATA with the Headache on Yoshinari Ogawa (20 minutes, 20 seconds)
While Ogawa lay on the floor, HAYATA stood over him with the GHC Junior belt in hand. Kotaro Suzuki realised that something was wrong, and called for help as he realised that something as Ogawa was not moving. Ogawa was conscious, but said that he had numbness in his arms as he was taken away on a stretcher. Backstage, HAYATA (who rarely speaks and when he does its very rarely many words) said, "Hey! January 4th ... same thing!"
MATCH FIVE
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hajime Ohara & Kinya Okada) vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)
WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the Saito Suplex on Kinya Okada (16 minutes, 18 seconds)
Takashi Sugiura (despite not letting Kinya Okada become an official member of The Sugiura Army) wrote sarcastically on Twitter after the match that Kongoh must be dissident, as the only person that Kitamiya pinned today was the inexperienced Okada, and not someone like himself.
MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya, Shuhei Taniguchi & The Anti Wrestlers Alliance (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue) vs AXIZ (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki) vs 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm)
WINNER: Go Shiozaki with the moonsault on Kaito Kiyomiya (22 minutes, 11 seconds)
Go Shiozaki wrote on Twitter after the match something which can be best summed up as, "Champion, whenever I face you, it is always a title match. Do you understand?"
As for Kiyomiya? A simple "Mortifying".
ATTENDANCE: Not announced
WITH THANKS TO: Kenichi
