(NOAH) EVENT RECAP ~ Morioka Gymnasium, Morioka ~ 10th December 2019 ("STARTING OVER 2019")

Local boy Hi69 returned home to Morioka, Iwate today, he said was a strange feeling for the boy who used to go and watch local wrestling shows when they came to town, and naturally like everyone else, he had a generous helping of Morioka's famous noodles. Hi69 also gave out tube balloons (known as "stick balloons" in Japan, but different from the Western type as these inflate into a tubular shape), to celebrate his homecoming.

There was a Christmas tree in the lobby, and AXIZ were given some early presents by the company, which were specially made hoodie and track-pants.

A company called MonoCreate came and set up a food stand at the venue, selling everything from onigiri rice balls (my particular favorite) to cold noodles. A lot of people have praised this, as outside of the bigger venues, this is not something you often see.

Happy birthday to Noah's senior referee, Shu Nishinaga, who turns fifty-two today.

As Noah work their back down to the Tokyo metropolitan area, I am starting to get a little more on the shows, however, its again a case of being able to present more information than others on some matches or what happened after matches. However, despite the lack of information, today was said to be a fun event with an enthusiastic crowd (one fan said they went home with a sore throat and hoarse voice from cheering so much).

MATCH ONE
Junta Miyawaki vs Kinya Okada

Miyawaki chalked up a singles win, and while he made Okada tap out, Okada is not a senior. There is a definite rivalry brewing between the two of them.

WINNER: Junta Miyawaki with the arm criss-cross (7 minutes, 45 seconds)

MATCH TWO
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura & Hajime Ohara) vs The Anti Wrestlers Alliance (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue)

Sugiura vs Inoue, no matter whether it be multi man tag or singles, is always funny. I'm not sure if Sugi stuck the GHC National in his face again, but he certainly had the withering look he gives him on. As you can see, it didn't take Sugi long to deal with "the old man with gout".

WINNER: Takashi Sugiura with the Boston Crab (11 minutes, 37 seconds)

MATCH THREE
Tadasuke & El Hijo de Canis Lupus vs Dragon Bain & Minoru Tanaka

WINNER: El Hijo de Canis Lupus with the Romero Special on Dragon Bain (10 minutes, 32 seconds)

After the match, Minoru Tanaka posted on Twitter the big red handprint chop marks he had received from El Hijo de Canis Lupus.

MATCH FOUR
Kumaxiz (Katsuhiko Nakajima, Go Shiozaki & Hitoshi Kumano) vs 50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) & Shuhei Taniguchi

WINNER: Katsuhiko Nakajima with the neck lock on Quiet Storm (19 minutes, 3 seconds)

MATCH FIVE
RATELS (HAYATA, Daisuke Harada & YO-HEY) vs STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Kotoge)

WINNER: YO-HEY with the YO-ROLL on Atsushi Kotoge (19 minutes)

Despite how protective YO-HEY & Daisuke Harada were being over HAYATA (Harada was seen outside the ring seeing to HAYATA'S foot which had been worked over by Ogawa again after the match), and the fact that YO-HEY pinned Atsushi Kotoge, STINGER as ever had their revenge. Yoshinari Ogawa stole the GHC Junior Heavyweight, and posed with it flanked by Atsushi Kotoge and Kotaro Suzuki, who are the GHC Junior Tag Champions, with their belts.
Outside the ring, HAYATA (who somehow makes having his back to the camera look photogenic), raised himself up on one elbow to watch them. HAYATA could not walk from the ring, and had to be supported out.

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya, Naomichi Marufuji & Hi69 vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)

Minoru Tanaka came out to second Hi69 and a funny incident occurred. According to a fan, a group of women immediately started photographing him. Tanaka didn't seem to notice, but inside the ring Kenoh did, and he gave him a look as if to say, "You really don't see what is happening?"

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Yoshiki Inamura (15 minutes, 22 seconds)

Local boy Hi69 addressed the crowd afterwards, saying that he graduated from school here, and became a professional wrestler. He swore to win the GHC Junior Championship by winning Global Junior League, and return to Morioka as champion.
