(NOAH) Event recap ~ Yamagata International Exchange Plaza (Yamagata Big Wing Exhibition Hall 2), Yamagata, 6th December 2019 ("STARTING OVER 2019")

Noah travelled a couple of hours up to Yamagata today through a snowy landscape to hold the next night of their show. NOSAWA Rongai was not on the card but was with Noah nonetheless, and was seen filming parts of the event on his phone. Takashi Sugiura asked the question that wasn't filming event's forbidden?

I am afraid that today's show is a mixed one when it comes to reporting on what happened as there was very little coming out of the show and what I did I get is mainly from pictures, PKDX, wrestler tweets or Boku Pro, and so I have more information on some matches than others.

MATCH ONE
Kotaro Suzuki vs Junta Miyawaki

Junta Miyawaki is still searching for that elusive first win, and likened today against Kotaro Suzuki being like beaten with a club as Kotaro put those elbows Mitsuharu Misawa taught him to good use. He says that he will come up with more ingenious ways to attack in Junior League and get the win.
Miyawaki is excited about his next match being with Minoru Tanaka, but its unlikely he will get that first win there.

WINNER: Kotaro Suzuki with the Blue Destiny (8 minutes, 27 seconds)

MATCH TWO
RATELS (Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke) vs Hi69 & Hitoshi Kumano
WINNER: Match went to a time out draw (20 minutes)

MATCH THREE
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) vs Kongoh (Kenoh & Masa Kitamiya)

I'm not too sure what Masa Kitamiya did today to make fans exclaim about him so much, but from looking at the pictures, I think he was very much in the mould of Masa Saito today, wearing his red and white gear, and being particularly brutal. Whatever the reason was, Kitamiya and Kenoh destroyed 50 Funky Powers very quickly.

WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the Saito Suplex on Mohammed Yone (8 minutes, 45 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
AXIZ (Katsuhiko Nakajima & Go Shiozaki) vs The Anti Wrestlers Alliance (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue)

Match was described a "sudden surprise", as I think fans were expecting a comedy match with no overtones, what they got was Go Shiozaki and Akitoshi Saito facing off.
The former Dark Agents are now the "Anti Wrestlers Alliance" (kind of like Kongoh except not paranoid, more mourning the old ways, and not "oppressed" by LIDET), and they have their own theme music (which I wonder if Masao Inoue's piggybank has funded). While viewed as a joke (seriously, even Kenoh who isn't known for a strong sense of humor, has laughed at them), Go Shiozaki, as Chairman of the Noah Wrestlers Association, doesn't see the funny side however. He can see some things that are good, but on the whole he doesn't like this and the fight between he and Saito went outside the ring, with Saito being knocked on his back in the crowd.

While Shiozaki dealt with Saito, Nakajima dealt with Masao Inoue. Inoue got harassed by Sugiura before the event, and then after it again (rather than stalk him to the urinal, Sugi is posting video of "the old man" eating soup and noodles), and then in the ring kicked around by Nakajima, who later did one of his poses with his foot resting on him.

WINNER: Katsuhiko Nakakima with PK on Masao Inoue (13 minutes, 33 seconds)

MATCH FIVE
RATELS (HAYATA & YO-HEY) & El Hijo de Canis Lupus vs STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa & Atsushi Kotoge) & Dragon Bain).

Atsushi Kotoge had said previously that he liked Dragon Bain's cape, which bought hope to the Revolutionary Army that their hero might appear for one night back in one. Sadly (or maybe fortunately), this did not happen.

WINNER: Dragon Bain with the Spanish Fly on El Hijo de Canis Lupus (13 minutes, 22 seconds)

Although the match ended with neither Ogawa or HAYATA getting the win over each other, just how much HAYATA had been put through was illustrated by his lying at the edge of the ring, YO-HEY (who says with good reason he "is worried about Wife's legs") looking concerned as HAYATA looked as if he had been taken off the torture rack.
Ogawa stood at the other side of the ring calmly speaking to Kotaro, and taking the athletic tape from around his fingers off. One fan commented that Ogawa does not need to keep up with the current trend of the Noah juniors, his presence makes sure of that.

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya vs Yoshiki Inamura

Big match for Yoshiki Inamura, who is rising through Noah in leaps and bounds. His last victory over Kaito Kiyomiya was only won on a technicality as Kenoh did the infamous footstamp on Kiyomiya's neck, but today was one on one. It looked to be a hard fought match, and from looking at Kiyomiya's face, everything that he handed out to Inamura, Inamura returned.

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Stretch Face Plum (11 minutes, 18 seconds)

MATCH SEVEN
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hajime Ohara & Kinya Okada) vs Naomichi Marufuji, Shuhei Taniguchi & Minoru Tanaka.

Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura tore into each other, with Marufuji being avalanche backdropped from the middle turnbuckle, and Sugiura being chopped outside the ring.
Sugiura said that today's match was good experience and still more experience for "Okakin" (Kinya Okada).

WINNER: Shuhei Taniguchi with the Diving Body Press on Kinya Okada (20 minutes, 20 seconds)

After the event Shuhei Taniguchi gave a small talk to the crowd, I am afraid that I don't know what he said, but afterwards he posted a picture of his ear which has got a horrible swelling on it, which he says is very painful.
Always someone who could be relied on to troll, Takashi Sugiura offered to elbow him in it. Lets hope that he didn't make good his threat as Noah departed into a dark winter countryside for a four hour drive to Hachinohe Seagull View Hotel Gymnasium in Aomori.
