(NOAH) President Takeda "We will not lose to the intensity of the venue" ~ 4th January Korakuen Hall advance tickets sold out on the same day as New Japan at the Tokyo Dome
On December 20th, Pro Wrestling Noah announced that the advance tickets for Day 1 NEW SUNRISE (January 4th 2020 at Korakuen Hall), which will be the 20th anniversary of the founding of Noah, have sold out.
The seats that are sold out are the SS seats (10,000 yen), S seats (7000 yen), A seats (5000 yen), and B seats (4000 yen), which were all sold in advance. A limited amount of additional seats have also been released, C seats (4000 yen) and standing room only (4000 yen), which will go on sale at 4pm on January 4th. Standing room only will also be released at the 27th December Korakuen Hall produce event of The Sugiura Army.
On the 4th January, four major title challenges will be held: the GHC Heavy, the GHC National, the GHC Junior and the GHC Junior Tag. As New Japan are holding their annual big event on the 4th, negative opinions such as "ill advised" and "unpractical" were spoken on social media, but it later transpired that with the advance tickets sold out, the fans are expecting great things.
Noah wil also run Korakuen on 5th January, when New Japan will also have an event at the Dome. On the 5th, the card will also be announced on the day as a surprise performance, that will not be revealed unless you go to the venue*. Tokyo Dome and Korakuen Hall are Tokyo Dome City, but dome with a capacity of 40,000 and a hall that seats less than 2000 people, the scale of the performance cannot be compared, Noah are aware of this and dares to run Korakuen twice.
Noah's President, Arihiro Takeda, told Hochi news that "We cannot beat New Japan in terms of capacity in any way, but we have prepared the best cards, and I think we will not lose to the intensity of the venue. Of course, we will not lose to the content".
