Noah's former GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya (23), has announced that he is going to become a "dream match making machine".

A new TV match project, "NOAH, NEW HOPE" will start on the Internet TV station ABEMA on the 24th May. Kiyomiya, who will be the focus, has set the new project as being "a place where dreams come true", and he will aim for his first confrontation with pro wrestling master, Keiji Mutoh (57) and other influential wrestlers.

Noah's new TV match project will be centered on Kiyomiya who is nicknamed "Supernova", and who is responsible for the future of Noah. In the first round, a singles match with former DDT & former HUSTLE wrestler, Rene Dupree (36) has been arranged. Entrusted with this position of responsibility he says, "I want to make it somewhere where I can do what I want to do. It may be a smaller scale event than the usual empty arena event, but the focus is on each person alone, and there is an opportunity to appeal."
One of the "what I want to do" is the opportunity to wrestle against athletes he has not yet faced yet.

Affected by the spread of the Coronavirus, the world of sports entertainment, has changed with the focus on holding shows empty arena. The declaration of an emergency situation is expected to be lifted in the Tokyo area on the 25th at the earliest, but holding big matches are likely to be difficult for the time being. Motivation is focused on what can be achieved in the ring.

Kiyomiya says, "I want to offer my dreams. I think at this time you can do things that you cannot normally do, and since fans cannot come to the venue at this time, I want to devise something with a big impact that goes to the depth of the screen."

For Kiyomiya's realization of a dream match, Muto is the first candidate. They have fought as a tag twice in September of last year in Osaka, and this April in a Noah TV match, but have no experience of a singles match. Kiyomiya says, "The last time we tagged was with Mutoh and Sakuraba, which drew a lot of attention. Watching the match closely, I thought I shouldn't be here (in the same corner). Mutoh is one person, but there is another who I want to keep an eye on without being bound by the framework of the promotion. I want to look at the whole industry, not just Noah."

At the young age of 23, he has won twice the "Best Bout Award" for two years in a row. It will be interesting to see if he can gain a foothold as the leading part on a new stage in the wrestling world.
