(NOAH) SCRAMBLE HISTORY ~ Kotaro Suzuki vs Takeshi Rikio
As Takeshi Rikio was a heavyweight, and Kotaro Suzuki is (and remains) a junior heavyweight, they never had any title matches either as a defending team or as challengers. All their matches took place in Noah. Kotaro Suzuki is Noah born, having debuted for the promotion on 24th December 2001. Mitsuharu Misawa named him "Kotaro", as he wished him to resound like a drum "Ko" and "taro" pointing towards his being Noah's first born. Takeshi Rikio had come to wrestling via sumo from All Japan, which he walked out of with Misawa in 2000. Their first match took place when Kotaro was only five months into his career, and Rikio two years into his.
During the course of nine years they had only two singles matches (2005 and then four years later in 2009), both of which Rikio won, and both of which went about 11.00 minutes, Kotaro managing to last ten seconds longer at 11.34 in 2005 compared to 2009. Although he was sometimes on the winning team, Kotaro didn't have much success in being on the team that defeated Rikio either.
They teamed together a lot during the course of their time together in Noah, most notably in 2009 when they were both members of Jun Akiyama's DISOBEY stable. They never had any matches past December 2009 as Takeshi Rikio retired in late May 2010 due to liver problems.
