(NOAH) "It has no meaning unless I do it now", Kiyomiya's long awaited tag confrontation with Keiji Mutoh.
1st June 2020
Pro Wrestling Noah will broadcast the TV match "NOAH GO FORWARD, DAY 1" on June 14th on ABEMA. The match card has been announced.
Akitoshi Saito will challenge the GHC Heavyweight Champion, Go Shiozaki in the main event, and Masao Inoue will challenge the GHC National Champion, Katsuhiko Nakajima in the semi finals. This will be the first time that the two will defend at the same time in a TV match since becoming champions. For Shiozaki, who has been absent due to acute appendicitis, this is his return match.
In the "Global Tag League 2020" which was held this year, Shiozaki & Nakajima's AXIZ lost to Akitoshi & Inoue's Anti Wrestler Alliance, while at "NOAH NEW HOPE DAY 1" which was broadcast on May 24th, Saito made his challenge to Shiozaki, and at "NOAH NEW HOPE DAY 2", which was broadcast on May 31st, Inoue challenged Nakajima.
The day before the title match is due to take place, June 13th, is the anniversary of the passing of Noah's founder, Mitsuharu Misawa, so it can be said that the match between Shiozaki, who was Misawa's last partner, and Saito who was the opposition, is fate.
In addition, Kaito Kiyomiya, who formed a tag in September of last year and April of this year, has been keen to have a singles match with Keiji Mutoh saying, "I want to stand across the ring next time", will form a three man tag with Shuhei Taniguchi and Mohammed Yone. They will face Mutoh, Naomichi Marufuji and Masaaki Mochizuki. Kiyomiya has continued to say that a "match with Keiji Mutoh must be realized", with Mutoh responding that he is "ready", and was paying attention to when the battle between them would be.
However, this is not a singles match, but a six man tag. Mutoh has said, "I want to have a match which will immerse me in pro wrestling. If I have the confidence to have a match that the fans will enjoy, I will do it.".
If the challenge presented by Mutoh can be overcome in this first confrontation, it may open the way to a singles match.
For Kiyomiya's Noah, Keiji Mutoh is an indispensable part of showing his "new scenery".
Kiyomiya says, "I don't think this will make sense in five years time. If I want to do it now, I have to do it. There is no point unless I do it with Mutoh now. Absorb everything!"
Kaito Kiyomiya stands opposite the pro wrestling master, with a strong feeling in his heart.
