(NOAH) Katsuhiko Nakajima "It's a hardcore match with the red GHC"
Tokyo Sports
Noah's GHC National Champion, Katsuhiko Nakajima (32), is seeking to change the route of the championship. In contrast to Takashi Sugiura (50), the first champion who had title matches with powerful wrestlers, and in a unique way to differentiate from the GHC Heavyweight title that is being held by Go Shiozaki (38), is to hold a defense based on hardcore rules.
"Done..."
Nakajima, who is waiting for his first defense against "sad middle aged" Masao Inoue (50), was at home when he watched Inoue read the letter of challenge at the broadcast on May 31st, which was regretful. He reported that he would accept the challenge to the Noah staff, and the title match has been set.
The reason he accepted is that he felt prepared for what he saw in on the screen, but the true reason for acceptance is that immediately after defeating the former champion, Takashi Sugiura and becoming the second champion, is that he wasn't going to be outdone by declaring that he would accept any challenge. However, as time went by it gave him a headache, "Truly, it's Masao..." Although Inoue has not had anything to do with a singles title for a long time, he is aware that he may not be easy to deal with. In fact, at Global Tag League in April last year, he took the three count pinfall.
"In a nutshell, it's good. When I notice what is beyond this territory and assess it, it is interesting but its frantic. I mean...different kinds of creatures. For example, even if this doesn't go as expected, I can still think "I did it!". I generally get angry, but I'm happy that I can't keep up with this pace". However, there is no turning back. "To tell the truth, neither myself or Masao are normal, but it doesn't mean we don't mesh. That is why we should have an unusual match. Furthermore, the red GHC can be used in any match as there is no division between junior or heavyweight. How about that? If you declare a challenge, I would like you to include one of these conditions as well. For example, a ladder match?"
A hardcore match, under the name of the noble GHC, is a plan that has been simmering for some time. Sugiura competed with talented wrestlers such as Masa Kitamiya, Kaito Kiyomiya and junior heavyweight Minoru Tanaka for the title, and added value to the newly established belt last November. This is why Nakajima said, "With the new GHC belt, in a short time the breadth of season 2 has widened. I wanted to change the appearance a little of the GHC name."
With a strong desire to make a name by daring to go in the opposite direction of the championship, will this unique title match on the Ark's mat, which he has a strong desire to make a name for, be realized? This will be a first defence that will decide the direction of the Nakajima administration.
