"FULL THROTTLE" of YO-HEY & Seiki Yoshioka will challenge for the GHC Junior Tag title held by "Momo No Seishun Tag", Daisuke Harada & Atsushi Kotoge, at the Korakuen Hall event on the 28th October.
YO-HEY, who betrayed Harada and entered FULL THROTTLE, and Yoshioka was betrayed by Kotoge, despite recognizing him as "leader". It is true that the grudge confrontation will be realized during the title battle, but more than that, the meaning of the fight for leadership over the "New Noah Junior" is strong.
With the revival of the Peach Youth, the Noah Juniors have entered the Warring States period, where the fourteen wrestlers are divided into five units, with the first full-scale war being over the junior tag team championship. Harada & Kotoge, who issued a "Universal Declaration" introducing themselves as the main unit, gave FULL THROTTLE, guided by the Mui Bien intellect, applied a "Start Over" to the FULL THROTTLE team.
Interview with FULL THROTTLE (YO-HEY, Seiki Yoshioka & Hajime Ohara)
Q: The junior tag challenge is just around the corner, but what are your honest feelings now?
YO-HEY: I have fought variously with Atsushi Kotoge & Daisuke Harada, and there was a bit during my Osaka Pro era, but I haven't fought them since I came to Noah. So what kind of "fruit juice" are you going to serve? I'm looking forward to it.
YOSHIOKA: I am looking forward to fighting Daisuke Harada, who I haven't been able to settle a single with, but first and foremost it's Atsushi Kotoge, who left selfishly. Revenge, punishment and leaving my mark. If we can take the belts, it will be two birds with one stone.
Q: Ohara, why have you entrusted them with this?
OHARA: First of all, from an objective point of view, I myself challenged (with Kotoge) at Kultz Kawasaki in August. The important thing for me about "FULL THROTTLE" is to "create new things". YO-HEY and Yoshioka haven't yet teamed up to challenge for the belt, and I want to support this as it's a "new thing".
Q: What was the original encounter between YO-HEY & Yoshioka?
YO-HEY: It was about 7-8 years ago at an event in Kyoto. To be honest, I was aiming to be a pharmacist (note, Yoshioka comes from a family of physicians, both his parents and his brothers are doctors, with his father being a surgeon, and he himself is a trained and licenced pharmacist), and that was our contact point of meeting.
Q: This is the first I have heard of this...
YOSHIOKA (laughs): I didn't have much knowledge "in the ring", but we did meet quite a lot outside of it. Before going to Noah, we had only had one match at the RATELS box office, and so far fighting in Noah aren't we the most "new" tag?
Q: Both of you have speed, and in a tag team tag match, aren't you likely to be a team of the "same type?"
YO-HEY: That's right. If we can gradually damage the opponents with our favorite middle kicks, then I think we can have a chance to win!!
Q: I haven't seen you use it...but Yoshioka, do you have a feeling that this team will create a new value?
YOSHIOKA: That's right (laughs) I rarely have had a good tag team partner, but I just really like to team. I like it because it gives me a chance to think about various things. I think it's an opportunity to build a decent team, and I was surprised when I first met YO-HEY that the time of our debut which was in the same year, was almost synchronous* Still, personalities are exact opposite.
YO-HEY: Huh?
YOSHIOKA: (Laughs) I think this is a "new", and from that we can create new things due to the fact that we have never tagged before.
Q: Ohara, how do you analyze the two team members?
OHARA: It's brilliant first of all, isn't it? It's cool and fast moving. However, although they are similar, their "attributes" are different. YO-HEY is good at creating his own atmosphere, and Yoshioka is the type that makes the world interesting. They are the same style, but their attributes are different. They are like Ryu and Ken (from Street Fighter), protagonists of the fighting game. Even if the techniques used are similar, their appearance and their personality are different.
YO-HEY: Oh! Does that mean I am Ken? Do I have to practice "Shoryuken"? Well, FULL THROTTLE has emerged because we got together, I don't even know if senior Hajime Ohara will go for a single.
Q: Ohara, you are aiming for a single?
OHARA: Well, my stance is that I will aim for anything if I have a chance, but as I am someone who has won both singles and tags, it's nothing new. With the consideration of the next era of the Noah juniors, I want these two to do it.
Q: How will you assert your presence in the Noah Junior Warring States period, when the units are so crowded?
YO-HEY: Eh? Presence...eh, I definitely have to bring out presence. So, eh, how do I bring out a presence?
YOSHIOKA: I am the one being asked that I think (laughs)
Q: I made the mistake in asking the wrong person...Ohara, how will you make a name in the unit war?
OHARA: Well, the Noah Juniors now have "Momo No Seishun" with Junta Miyawaki, "STINGER", "Kongoh" and "The Sugiura Army". I think the fans have their own image, and in that I think FULL THROTTLE has a lot of scope and a many things that are unknown. FULL THROTTLE was a unit that was born during the Corona empty arena shows, and I think that is a big part of FULL THROTTLE that we can build with the customers. I want to create a unit that the fans can have a sense of trial and error by. I want to put faith in "from now on". So ultimately I hope to be the best, and I think the first step in "from now on" will be their junior tag challenge.
YO-HEY: I wanted to say that!!
Q: In the title match, Yoshioka will make it even with Atsushi Kotoge...but YO-HEY, will you be aiming for Daisuke Harada?
YO-HEY: That's right. The passion for betrayal has been suppressed recently, but a furious Daisuke Harada is very funny to fight. One of my goals is to defeat Daisuke Harada in a match after he gets angry. That is exactly what I want to do with FULL THROTTLE, wind up Daisuke Harada and squeeze all the juice.
Q: However, Harada has made the claim that they are the main unit, and are the centre of the new Noah Juniors...
YO-HEY: No, they are old. As The Master said at the start, they aren't "new" at all? But even of you say, "We will create a new Noah Junior!", there is almost no peach juice left, right? But on the other hand, no one can imagine this...even we can't imagine what it will be like. When it is conveyed to the fans, the Noah Juniors will become the most interesting, and FULL THROTTLE will create a new Noah Juniors. It's like that!
YOSHIOKA: I am of the same opinion. They did that a few years ago, right? "What you already have" is not new, it is only an old rerun of what was created a long time ago. Fans want to see what is newly created, and I think it will be FULL THROTTLE who will create that.
