Pro Wrestling Noah will hold their Korakuen Hall event "NEW SUNRISE 2021" on January 4th. Last year it was held on both the 4th and 5th, but this year it will only be the 4th. Another Korakuen event will be held on the 10th.
This year too there will be a timing competition with New Japan's Tokyo Dome event, "WRESTLE KINGDOM 15".

Last year, there was the GHC Heavyweight Championship in which Go Shiozaki challenged champion, Kaito Kiyomiya, which became a battle of over 27 minutes and ended with Shiozaki taking the belt. He proclaimed, "I am NOAH" and has continuously defended the belt until then.

This year the card will be done in complete secrecy, so you will not know who will be coming out until their theme song is played.

Looking back on last year, after the second match, two Strong-Machine style masked men appeared. They asked Haoh and Nioh to shake hands, then they attacked the two with one going up to the rop rope and firing off a diving senton before they took off their masks. These two were NOSAWA Rongai, and Dick Togo. Togo is currently the manager of EVIL in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Togo would also participate in "Global Junior League 2020" after this.

Kazushi Sakuraba made a surprise appearance as the partner of Takashi Sugiura and Hideki Suzuki to the loud noise of the venue.

In the next match, Shiro Koshinaka, Akitoshi Saito and AKIRA of Heisei Ishingun made an energetic appearance. Although they were defeated, they had a rough match against Kongoh, who were led by Kenoh.

Keiji Mutoh appeared in the semi final, and the venue was heated by his entanglement with Yoshinari Ogawa.

The GHC Tag Team Championship took place in the main, with Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima being challenged by Naomichi Marufuji & DragonGate's Masaaki Mochizuki. MochiMaru was tested by the power of AXIZ, but gradually overcame with the loud support of fans. In the end it was Mochizuki who took the pin by seizing the opportunity to roll up Nakajima during a momentary gap, to a big Mochi call. It is interesting that the course of this day is connected to the current Sugiura Army and the M'S Alliance.

As Noah moves towards the Nippon Budokan event on February 12th, this event may be a preparation. This year as well, they will provide content that is comparable to the Tokyo Dome.
