On February 4th, Jun Akiyama and Naomichi Marufuji, who will fight against the tag team of Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura at Noah's 12th February Nippon Budokan event, had a conversation. When talking about the Budokan event for the first time in eleven years, the topic unexpectedly went to Shuhei Taniguchi.
Akiyama's first match with Kiyomiya was at Noah's Osaka event in September 2019. The highlight was that Kaito Kiyomiya, as the GHC Heavyweight Champion at the time, who had been showing a "new scenery", formed a trio with Keiji Mutoh and Akiyama, who is part of Noah's history. Taniguchi inherited the Half Nelson Suplex after being publicly scolded by Kobashi on the Noah official YouTube in a video released on January 30th. Pro wrestling fans are talking about the funky "Taniguchi dance" from Yokohama on January 16th.
At the Noah Budokan event on the 12th February, which will be the first time in eleven years, Taniguchi will team up with Mohammed Yone to wrestle DRAGON GATE'S Masaaki Mochizuki, and ZERO1's Masato Tanaka.
