(NOAH) CARD: NOAH Jr. YOKOHAMA OVATION (Friday, September 3rd 2021, Yokohama Radiant Halls)
The Noah Juniors hold a show exclusively dedicated to them Yokohama Radiant Halls, with the show culminating in the GHC Junior Heavyweight title match. The only heavyweight on the card is Kaito Kiyomiya, but as he has been acting like a Noah Junior recently (volatile, intruding into matches, jumping enemies etc), then he should fit right into the evening.
For those lucky fans who are attending the event the doors will open at 17:15, with the show starting at 18:00 JST. For the rest of us, we can watch it on WrestleUniverse, although you must be a subscriber.
Yoshinari Ogawa celebrates 36 years in wrestling today and is the only person in Noah to have wrestled in the Showa, Heisei and Reiwa eras. He debuted in All Japan in the Showa Era (he debuted at 19 and had been in the dojo since about 17), Noah of course was born in Heisei in 2000, and now the Reiwa era which began on May 1st 2019.
MATCH ONE
Kongoh Juniors (Nioh & Haoh) vs Kai Fujimura & Yasutaka Yano
Haoh (who Nioh says he has been concerned about) makes his return to the Noah Juniors after having Coronavirus. Noah delayed his return due to his being symptomatic with a cough. The Kongoh Juniors will take on the young team of Kai Fujimura and the ever growing Yasutaka Yano. Yano in particular is excited to show what he has learned.
MATCH TWO
YO-HEY vs Aleja
Tadasuke lit a fire when he declared that Aleja was the Lucha of the Noah Juniors, who no other could come near. While Seiki Yoshioka admitted that in terms of Aleja's ability it was true, it's not going to stop YO-HEY (who said he was probably the last Lucha left in the division since Taiji Ishimori left a few years ago), from trying.
MATCH THREE
Daisuke Harada vs Tadasuke
The former friends turned enemies have a singles match tonight in which they hope to settle their long running feud. No one can wind Daisuke Harada up like Tadasuke can, and reduce him to teeth gnashing fury, even when he simply asks what Harada means by "Dokan".
MATCH FOUR
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Seiki Yoshioka & Yuya Susumu) vs Atsushi Kotoge, Hajime Ohara & Junta Miyawaki
Yoshinari Ogawa, who seems to be distancing himself somewhat from the others (they have both a bond with each other that he doesn't, and they hold the junior belts, which he doesn't), teams with the GHC Junior Heavyweight Champions to take on the Noah regular army. I would imagine that from a teaching perspective, Ogawa's focus will be on Junta Miyawaki (who is appearing in ZERO1's junior league), but pay attention to his interactions with his team, which may well provide a clue as to later on.
MATCH FIVE
Kaito Kiyomiya vs NOSAWA Rongai
The semi main is going to be an explosive match. Providing NOSAWA turns up that is. After being made to bleed, being humiliated by demons, after being hit by a car, choked with chairs and other such insults, Kaito Kiyomiya finally gets his singles match with his current enemy, NOSAWA Rongai. NOSAWA says he will boycott this match as he sees no merit in it, and if Kiyomiya really wants him to turn up then he had better stop avoiding the issue and being a wimp and give him what he asks for, namely the stipulation that if he (NOSAWA) wins then he can enter the N-1 VICTORY in Kiyomiya's place. Noah have said nothing about it, and Kiyomiya even less. To Kiyomiya this is a chance to settle things with NOSAWA before the N-1 VICTORY starts, although he does admit that this "swamp" that NOSAWA has pulled him into, may be addictive.
MATCH SIX
GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship Match
If it hadn't been for making history as the first Noah Junior to enter the N-1 VICTORY, Kotaro Suzuki had been perfectly content to lead a life of annoying Yoshinari Ogawa and causing trouble among an already volatile division (which he has been doing for years anyhow), and leaving the younger roster to chase the singles belt. However, as he is the only Noah Junior to be entering the N-1 VICTORY then the belt is necessary for him, and HAYATA just happens to have it. Kotaro's long running dream is to face Naomichi Marufuji for the GHC Heavyweight someday, and as a champion himself. The big drama in this match will be decided however by what happens after it and we may well see yet another shift in the Noah Juniors by the end of the show.
