(NOAH) EVENT RECAP: SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 (Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall, Friday October 14th)

Today's show was not streamed live and only match five (HAYATA & Chris Ridgeway vs Ninja Mack and Alejandro) was shown through InstaLive. I therefore only have information on a few matches. The event will be streamed on WrestleUniverse on the 17th October from 18:00 JST. You must be a subscriber to view. Attendance today was 317.

Seiki Yoshioka was very busy before the event began, he was signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans. A lot of the local fans who came, said they said "Welcome home". In the ring, he presented the money raised for the flood damage and the earthquake to the masked Kumamon (aka "Kumamon's Friend" who had arrived to fill in for Kumamon who said he was delayed). Fans joked that the identity of this masked bear remained a mystery...
Yoshioka handed the collection money over, and said he would continue his efforts to help the region. After that, "Kumamon's Friend" did a kind of dance, which the Noah Juniors (YO-HEY who was loving this, Seiki Yoshioka, Atsushi Kotoge and Alejandro joined in with), as you can see, it is probably something that they discussed, but not actually practiced.

MATCH ONE
Kai Fujimura vs Taichi Ozawa
WINNER: Kai Fujimura with missile kick (5 minutes, 49 seconds)

MATCH TWO
3WAY Match
YO-HEY vs Xtreme Tiger vs Hajime Ohara
WINNER: Hajime Ohara with the MuiBien clutch on Xtreme Tiger (8 minutes, 11 seconds)

Hajime Ohara gave rare praise to his opponents after the match, but they still don't measure up to his Mui Bien. In the past Ohara would have said that everything was Mui Bien, now Mui Bien is a weapon.

MATCH THREE
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa & Yasutaka Yano) & Jack Morris vs Perros Del Mal De Japon (NOSAWA Rongai, Eita & Super Crazy)

Very dramatic match in which Yoshinari Ogawa and Eita shook hands, Ogawa offering and Eita accepting. NOSAWA Rongai, who knows full well what happened the last time Ogawa offered a handshake to someone who accepted it (i.e. HAYATA), immediately confronted him and demanded to know why he did it. Backstage he asked him again, Eita said he didn't know.

Match ended in a count out between Yoshinari Ogawa and Eita (13 minutes, 44 seconds)

After the match, YO-HEY ran into the ring and attacked Yoshinari Ogawa, while Ogawa was fighting Eita, when he had been thrown out of the ring, NOSAWA confronted YO-HEY and then YO-HEY was beaten down by Perros. Ogawa and Yasutaka Yano then got in on the action, and YO-HEY once again had his knees and legs attacked. There was also some hint from Ogawa about separating from HAYATA...

"I'm starting to wonder if it's okay to team up with HAYATA. Well, I'll continue working with Chris, but I feel uncomfortable with HAYATA being called the "strongest champion". HAYATA is called that because he's teamed up with me and Chris, and he can't be called the "strongest champion" unless he fights us and wins, right?"

MATCH FOUR
Takashi Sugiura, Satoshi Kojima, Mohammed Yone & Akitoshi Saito vs Naomichi Marufuji, Masato Tanaka, Masa Kitamiya & Shuhei Taniguchi
WINNER: Satoshi Kojima with the Western Lariat on Shuhei Taniguchi (17 minutes, 10 seconds)

MATCH FIVE
STINGER (HAYATA & Chris Ridgeway) vs Ninja Mack & Alejandro

HAYATA held the belt up grimly to Ninja Mack. Ninja Mack worked at light speed, even walking at his hands at one point to dodge HAYATA, this made HAYATA slide out of the ring and complain to the referee. Whatever HAYATA was trying to do, Ninja Mack found a way round it, he even dodged The Headache by flipping forward on to his hands.

Chris Ridgeway has an upcoming match with Katsuhiko Nakajima on the 16th October in Fukuoka and as well as sending a message to Nakajima by doing the Shutter Chance, along with doing the "watching you" hand motion.

WINNER: Chris Ridgeway via ankle hold on Alejandro (13 minutes, 27 seconds)

Chris Ridgeway would not release the sub on Alejandro, despite the referee trying to pull him off. HAYATA had no intention of letting Alejandro go as he dragged him back into the ring and he and Ridgeway beat up on Ninja Mack. Ridgeway had him in the ankle lock as HAYATA threatened to pull of the mask, in the end, the two of them briefly posed for the cameras.

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya, Daiki Inaba, Yoshiki Inamura & The Noah Junior Regulars (Seiki Yoshioka & Atsushi Kotoge) vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya, Tadasuke & Hi69)

It appeared that the regular Kumamon had arrived at the venue and so he appeared with the Kumamoto boys, Seiki Yoshioka and Daiki Inaba, when they made their entrance. In the ring he presented Yoshioka with flowers on behalf of the city and for all his work in fundraising.

Kaito Kiyomiya of course incurred Kenoh's wrath the moment he appeared in the ring, and Kenoh even went so far as to choke him with a muffler towel outside the ring.

WINNER: Kiyomiya with the Shining Wizard on Tadasuke (18 minutes, 9 seconds)

Kiyomiya closed out the show;

"Thank you for today! Kumamon also entered with us, raised Kumamoto and cheered us on. We will become the centre of Noah. On the 30th October at Ariake, I will face a monster named Kazuyuki Fujita, but I will definitely defend and return to Kumamoto!"
