(NOAH) CARD: SUNNY VOYAGE 2023 (Saturday March 25th, Iwate Morioka Gymnasium)
This event will be streamed on WrestleUniverse at a later date. I am afraid I do not know when at the time of writing, as Noah usually announce it on the day. For those lucky enough to go, the doors will open at 16:15 JST, with the event starting at 17:00. Shoes are not allowed in the venue, please bring slippers with you. Kaito Kiyomiya will be on autograph duty.
MATCH ONE
Kinya Okada vs Taishi Ozawa
Two Noah Born open the show.
MATCH TWO
STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, HAYATA & Yasutaka Yano) vs The Noah Junior Regulars (Atsushi Kotoge, Seiki Yoshioka & Alejandro)
This could well turn out to be an interesting match for two reasons; the first being is that the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tags are not challenged for yet. The second is the possibility that we could see another split in the Noah Junior Regulars. Should this happen, I am thinking more Yoshioka than Kotoge.
MATCH THREE
Naomichi Marufuji & El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr vs Funky Express (Mohammed Yone & Akitoshi Saito)
Naomichi Marufuji summed up tonight's card as "young boy matches, pre match title matches and frozen broccoli". This is the "frozen broccoli" fight, which Akitoshi Saito will probably never hear the end of and since no titles are being challenged for (Jack Morris is not in the match) and neither team has a grudge against the other, it's probably going to be fun.
MATCH FOUR
Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba & Yoshiki Inamura vs Takashi Sugiura, Shuhei Taniguchi & Saxon Huxley
If both the ring and yesterday's venue managed to survive Saxon Huxley vs Manabu Soya, then tonight both the ring and the venue has to survive four of Noah's ultra-heavyweights slamming into each other and a pre match, which Shuhei Taniguchi is expected to win, not being in his seniors good books for losing yesterday.
MATCH FIVE
Kaito Kiyomiya, AMAKUSA & Ninja Mac vs Lanzelot, Super Crazy & Xtreme Tiger
Kaito Kiyomiya makes a rare appearance (and towering over everyone) as he teams with the feuding juniors and their never ending competition to outdo each other. AMAKUSA won yesterday by pinning Super Crazy, and while he sent a message to his challenger, Lanzelot, he didn't directly defeat him. The title match is on the 26th, so tonight will be their final pre match.
MATCH SIX
Best Three Falls Tag Match
Good Looking Guys (Jake Lee, Jack Morris, Anthony Green, YO-HEY & Tadasuke) vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya, Hajime Ohara & Hi69)
Yesterday in Akita, we saw Kongoh and Good Looking Guys go to war, partly over Katsuhiko Nakajima challenging Jake Lee for the GHC Heavyweight, partly over Tadasuke's defection from Kongoh (of which Hi69, the local boy as this is hometown, has sworn revenge) and partly because they irritate Kenoh, who has termed them a group of guys "who walk around pretending they are cool and handsome". They will meet in the main event in a best out of three falls match.
