15th September 2023
The 24th September Nagoya show will be Noah's big autumn grand event. All title matches, and five major GHC matches will be held, including Noah's peak battle of "GHC Champion vs N-1 Champion".
The main event will be the GHC Heavyweight Championship match where Go Shiozaki will challenge Jake Lee. The long awaited singles showdown will be realized as the pinnacle of Noah showdown of "Champion vs Winner".
The year was 2015, and they were once a senior and a junior in All Japan. However, about three months after Jake's re-debut, Shiozaki left All Japan and made a return to Noah leaving him as a "far away senior", and contact disappeared.
Eight years have passed since then.
When Shiozaki, who became "I AM NOAH", returned from a long absence, the person sitting at the top of Noah was Jake, who was once his junior. However, the summer N-1 VICTORY arrived without any kind of contact, and Shiozaki won his first league championship after a fierce battle. The first singles showdown has been fixed, with the champion, Shiozaki, challenging the champion, Jake. In the pre-match Jake confessed, "Go Shiozaki is a man who has accumulated more history than anyone realizes. I've always wanted to fight the strong Go Shiozaki." In fact, it has been Jake's dream for eight years to have a senior/junior showdown between the GHC champion and the N-1 champion, in addition to the "man who steers The Ark" and "I AM NOAH". The match in Nagoya will be the decisive battle at the peak of Noah full of background.
Seiki Yoshioka will challenge HAYATA for the GHC Junior Championship. This will be Yoshioka's first time challenging HAYATA since the Nippon Budokan event last July, when he lost to HAYATA (the champion) on a big stage. It has been a year and two months since then. He began playfully calling his senior, Shuji Kondo, who became his tag partner "Kon-chan", and won a direct pinfall over HAYATA, giving him the chance to challenge the champion again. The two have their roots in WrestleGate, a promotion local to Hiroshima. Ever since they met again in Noah, Yoshioka has been chasing after HAYATA, who is one of a kind.
Has the gap narrowed or widened? More than anything, it will be a match that shows the quality of the current Noah Juniors, who will be sure to compete passionately.
Mexico's AAA superstar, Psycho Clown, will challenge for the GHC National Championship in Nagoya. He appeared in Osaka on the September 3rd, and announced his challenge to El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr. There is a deeper connection between the two men than just a title match. In August 2017, at AAA'S biggest event of the year, "Triplemania 25", Clown defeated El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr's father (Dr Wagner Jnr) in a loser loses mask match. The masked man lost his life force in a battle which was called the "Mask Battle of The Century". It was El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr, who inherited the doctors mask from his father who revealed his true face, "the life of the Wagner family". Psycho Clown, whose father possessed Brazo de Plata*, comes from a prestigious family, whose relatives are full of Luchadores and foretelling the final blow to the Wagner family said, "I took off your father's mask, and this time I'll take your belt from you. I will prove that the Brazo empire is better than the Wagner Empire, and prove that our family is better than your family." For El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jnr, who has steadily built up his position in Japan, this will be the first major test in which not only the red belt, but also revenge for his father and the prestige of his family are at stake.
The new GHC Junior Tag Team Champions will be decided by a big aerial battle as "Los Golpeadores" Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf and Ninja Mack and Alejandro will compete to be the 58th champions. Bane and Wolf were originally scheduled to challenge Chris Ridgeway and Daga, but Ridgeway suddenly had to return to England, so the title was vacated and a match to crown the new champions was decided on. The Lucha brothers, "Los Golpeadores", who have continued to impress with their super acrobatic fights, will be challenging for the title for the second time this year. At the Korakuen event in April, they bought the main event at the sacred place to boiling point, but were unable to take the win and lost to the team of YO-HEY and Tadasuke, so they will try again for the first time in five months and aim for the title again. Ninja and Alejandro have had an unexpected chance, and if they both win, they will be crowned champions for the first time. At the 3rd September Osaka event, the four wrestlers who fought in a big aerial four way match, will now meet in a title match with their first tag championship on the line.
Jack Morris and Anthony Green will challenge Saxon Huxley and Timothy Thatcher for the GHC Tag Team Championship. The unit conflict between REAL and GLG, was channeled into the GHC Tag Team Championship match at the 3rd September Osaka event. Jake, who leads GLG, and Hideki Suzuki, who founded REAL, fought each other, while Green took the pin from Saxon, which led to the title match. This is likely to be a test match for both Morris and Green, who are both challenging for the tag titles for the first time, especially Green, who will be challenging for a GHC title for the first time. This will also be a foreign team showdown, which will draw attention to the contrasts between monsters and handsome men.
A six man tag match will take place between Naomichi Marufuji, Yoshinari Ogawa & LEONA vs Kaito Kiyomiya, Ryohei Ogawa and Eita with Ogawa and Kiyomiya facing off once again after a rift has appeared in the teacher-pupil relationship. Ogawa criticized Kiyomiya's matches at New Japan's G1 CLIMAX as "one-sided and boring", and even though Kiyomiya defeated Ogawa via pinfall at the Osaka event on the 3rd September, Ogawa dismissed him again, saying, "Even winning a match is boring". In addition to being a battle that draws attention to Kiyomiya's "fighting style", New Japan's Oiwa, who is training with Noah, encounters Marufuji and LEONA will once again face off against Eita in a big match, with whom he was once dismissed by.
There will also be a 6-man tag team match with an intense atmosphere between Takashi Sugiura, Manabu Soya and Masa Kitamiya vs Kazuyuki Fujita, Hideki Suzuki & Shuhei Taniguchi. The focus will be on whether Soya, who has continued to perform well since the N-1, can make his presence felt with these members. Sugiura, who has just returned (from injury) will clash with Fujita in his hometown of Nagoya, whom he once fought fiercely with at the same venue.
In addition, there will be a tag team showdown between Kenoh and Katsuhiko Nakajima, which is sure to be a kick fight, and a singles match in which Junta Miyawaki, who has returned from Mexico, will take on bigshot luchador, Daga.
In the first match, YO-HEY and Tadasuke, who have been making a name for themselves as the cut in kings by telling out "G!L!G!", will appear and confront Shuji Kondo and Hajime Ohara. In the dark match, young rookie Yu Owada takes on the challenge of an eight person tag team match for the first time.
It will be a big event in Nagoya, with a theme embedded into every match.
