On July 21st, Pro Wrestling Noah held their event "STAR NAVIGATION 2024" at Korakuen Hall.

Noah has entered a new chapter after the biggest match of the year at the 13th July Nippon Budokan event. With the midsummer strongest league, the N-1 VICTORY, just two weeks away, the wrestlers considered to be the championship contenders at the Korakuen show made their case one after another.

The main event saw the GHC Heavyweight Champion, Kaito Kiyomiya, who successfully defended his title for the second time by defeating YOICHI (aka Yoshiki Inamura) at the Budokan on July 13th, team up with Jack Morris and Dragon Bane to face off against the powerful trio of last years N-1 winner, Go Shiozaki, and Kiyomiya's former partner, Ryohei Oiwa of New Japan, and Masa Kitamiya. All the members were from Block A of the N-1 VICTORY, and the pre match six man tag match was a fierce battle.

First off, Jack Morris made a strong appeal to Oiwa, who had volunteered to fight, by pushing him into the ropes after a lockup and then, after a gentlemanly clean break like "that man", he shouted, "Jake Lee! FUCK YOU!", declaring his seperation from the former GLG leader who had betrayed them, and showed his dignified fighting spirit in the match.

Next, Oiwa, who had been "abandoned" by Kiyomiya due to the formation of the new unit, "ALL REBELLION", also went after Kiyomiya, showing his emnity. Kiyomiya responded by striking him with knuckle punches and stomping him in the corner. In the middle of the match, he whirled elegantly with a driving elbow like Keiji Mutoh, and then landing a light kick to the face of the fallen Oiwa, taunted him with "Bring it on, come on!"

DragonBane, who is a junior but had a desire to make his N-1 debut, took out the others with his speed and momentum, but Shiozaki mowed him down with powerful lariats.

In the second half, Masa Kitamiya showed his spirit. He didn't fall, even when Kiyomiya hit him with a Shining Wizard, and shouting as he endured. He then cornered Kiyomiya with a skewering lariat, a German suplex, and a piledriver*. However, in terms of toughness, Kiyomiya was no less impressive. He countered Kitamiya's charge with a Frankensteiner, followed by a Shining Wizard and a modified Tiger Driver. Kitamiya managed to kick out at two, but Kiyomiya finally landed a powerful modified Shining Wizard for the win, and the GHC champion showed his best form as he strives to win the N-1.

After the match, Kiyomiya took the microphone and shouted, "I'm in great shape! I'm in great shape!", and then he appealed to his league rivals Oiwa, Shiozaki, Morris, Bain and the others, who were surrounding him saying, "N-1 VICTORY, let's make this an unforgettable summer! No, I'll make it an unforgettable summer!". In response to this, Shiozaki declared his second consecutive victory, saying "I'll win the N-1 VICTORY for the second time, and make this a fun summer. I am NOAH!" Oiwa also took the microphone and challenged the champion, saying, "I'll crush everyone in Block A of the N-1, so be prepared! But you, Kaito Kiyomiya, I'll make this a forgettable summer for you!". Finally, Kiyomiya took the microphone once again and declared with a confident smile, "I'll be fighting everyone in the N-1 VICTORY, as if it was a title match. As the GHC Champion, I'll lead Noah to victory with a perfect record!".

The N-1 VICTORY 2024, will kick off on August 4th at the Yokohama Budokan. A total of nine tournament matches will be held until the championship match is held on September 1st at the Edion Osaka First Stadium.
Who will win this years hot summer battle of Noah?

Notes
The piledriver that Kitamiya did is called a "drill a hole piledriver", this basically means that the opponents arms are pinned back.
