On the 13th, Yoshiki Inamura, who is participating in the N-1 VICTORY 2024, held a public practice with Minowaman DZ at the scorching hot Noah dojo. He performed a bizarre act that was out of the ordinary in every sense...or rather, a violent act, and vowed to become a "superhuman" for the climax of N-1.
But, what is wrong?
Inamura has just battled through an extremely tough schedule, competing in four consecutive single matches in record heat, three of which were main events. Finally, he has a day off, and while everyone else wants to take a break, here he is in the scorching hot dojo, and moreover, he invited the "superman" Minowaman to hold a public practice.
Inamura had already opened his strongman training to the public before the start of the N-1, and while it was unusual for him to hold two sessions related to the league matches twice by himself, it was also extremely unusual for him to hold public training sessions during the league matches themselves...
Inamura had gotten to know Minowaman through a training session at "Natural Nine", which is known as Kazushi Sakuraba's training base. Inamura has admired him since he was a fan, and even now he regularly re-watches the PRIDE openweight GP opening match on May 5th 2006, "Mirko Cro Cop vs Minowa Ikuhisa" (Minowaman), along with the "promotional video", which is hailed as a masterpiece. This is why Inamura did not care if he had a tough schedule, or if this was his second time. Minowaman readily agreed, and taught him the "Superhuman Exercises" he created, saying, "Let's start with the basics of being a superhuman..." Minowaman, who serves as the director of the "Kinnikuman Museum in Numazu" (Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), which opened in April of this year, has devised superhuman exercises for visitors as part of his "Plan to Make All Humans Superhuman". He came up with a form of exercise than can be easily enjoyed by men and women of all ages, and can be continued even when doing other things. The content is also unique, paying attention to the chin, eyebrows and even the eyes. They silently rotate their chins, raise and lower their eyebrows, and stare at each other intensely...the two of them solemnly repeat movements that at first glance do not seem like exercises, but before they knoq it, the Noah dojo was saturated in the world of Minowaman. Minowaman, who was getting more and more animated, continued to explain the "superhuman science", "The way to become a superhuman is to keep doing the same thing every day and raise your edge. If you raise your edge little by little, a new edge will appear, and if you raise that edge, a new edge will appear again. You can get close to becoming superhuman by changing your everyday, casual movements. Try crossing your legs when you're talking, or even just one of your movements when you enter the ring".
The dojo was scorching hot, at nearly 40 degrees, and the reporters were about to faint, as the conversation continued, but Inamura himself had an epiphany, saying, "I now understand something I didn't understand before! I don't want to become a superhuman in terms of what kind of superhuman I want to be, but by being Yoshiki Inamura himself," he said coming to a conclusion that is both understandable and incomprehensible, and Minowaman praised him saying, "That's wonderful!".
Inamura, who has thus come one step closer to the essence of the superhuman, emphasized his "great gains" ahead of the climax of the N-1. He furrowed his brows and said, "Today I learned about the foundation of superhumans. By doing superhuman exercises on a daily basis, you can check every inch of your body, and it's easier to remove damage".
His next official match will be held in Sendai, and he will face off against the WWE NXT "Olympian" Tavion Heights. "Tavion is also a superhuman, but I don't know how far the foundation of the superhuman is. I'm at 3 wins and 2 losses, and I can't afford to even lose once, but if I can keep changing the handle of my toothbrush and upping the edge, I can win."
I don't really understand what he means, but he's got great confidence as he looks towards the height of summer.
