(NOAH) Kondo was chosen as Soya's challenger, but..."I've lost interest, start over"
4th December 2024 (No. 2329)
On November 9th in Osaka, Manabu Soya defeated Go Shiozaki, and successfully defended the GHC National Championship for the second time, and nominated Shuji Kondo as the next challenger, which has become customary. However, Kondo had been absent from the Osaka event, and his intentions were completely unknown. So today, Soya faced Kondo for the first time since he had nominated him. They engaged in a powerful fight, and even went head on when they collided with their favorite lariats, but immediately afterwards, Masa Kitamiya, hit Soya with a spear, followed by a Saito Suplex for the pin. Kondo was clearly down after seeing the champion lose right before his eyes. Rather than, "I wanted to get the win", he thought, "He nominated me, and then just lost to someone else?" Even so, Soya didn't give up and insisted, "My feelings haven't changed. Shuji Kondo, fight me! Fight me! Fight! Fight! I want you to fight for this belt!"
However, Kondo will not take on the challenge if things stay as they are. This is why Soya has to move forward from here on out, so that his senior, who he is determined to fight, will have a firm determination to take on the challenge.
