Takashi Sugiura will return at Korakuen Hall on the 28th October. Opponent is undecided. "Not Inoue".
18th October 2017
Pro Wrestling Noah announced that Takashi Sugiura (47), who has been side-lined with atrial fibrillation treatment, will return on the 28th October for the event in Korakuen Hall, Tokyo.
Since June, Sugiura had been suffering from arrhythmia, on July 14th he underwent surgery. He has been training since his discharge from hospital. He has received periodic medical examinations, and worn a halter for twenty-four hours, undergone electrocardiogram and had MRI scans with contrast. On the 14th October he was told that there was no longer an abnormality, and neither did he need medication to return to the ring.
Currently Noah is holding "The Global League", but Sugiura who was in attendance, refused to participate. "It is not an easy event that means you can win and that is it, I want to pace myself for the time being" he said subtly.
Although at this point his opponent is undecided, "Masao Inoue is not the one, no one wants to fight him". Inoue, looking sad and middle aged, said when he heard this, "I am thankful to be named".
Either way, now that the GHC Championship has gone abroad (currently it is Eddie Edwards), there is no doubt that a reliable man is back. His opponent will be announced at a later date.
